Looks like the party's over, ESA caved under whatever pressure all the general outcry has created. At this point it's meaningless and I would still love to have developers pull support of E3...

It's been said that convincing news source like the Escapist is a pointless endeavor, and I understand it never could have happened. But, Escapist... A warning for the OP of this thread? Really? Spreading this message, merely proposing the idea, is something you are giving a warning for? I am so disappointed in you.
It's a one word post. That's why.

Not only do I think the Escapist should withdraw its coverage of E3, but I think it should also run an alternate conference with a requirement of attendance being that you agree to publicly and privately bash SOPA, PIPA and any future legislation which would attempt to regulate the Internet for the next year. If you don't agree that regulating the Internet is the worst idea ever, you don't get to attend.

Aslong as the ESA still continues its support of SOPA/PIPA then The Escapist really shouldn't cover E3 this year.
We must show them that the support of SOPA is not OK and what better way to do so than helping to produce a nice big puncture to their wallets.
