No I'm going to throw them away.
Of course I'll be keeping my old stuff! They games are stil fun, and I can't think of a reason not keep them.

I still have my PS1 and I'm about to buy a PS2. The fact that a console is old does not render it obsolete long as there are good games out for it. So yes, I'm keeping my PS3, thank you very much.

yes I will, too many times have I gotten rid of a past gen console, only to find myself feeling nostalgic later on down the road.

I don't see the point in getting rid of a console. More consoles, means more variety in games. Here is everything I own.

Sega Genesis
Super Nintendo
Nes(Top Loader)
Gameboy Advance
Nintendo DS.
Gameboy Color
Sega Saturn
Playstation
Playstation 2
Playstation 3

I have over 200 games, there are some that I have still not played. Just bought Guardian Heroes off a friend for 30 bucks for the Sega Saturn, money well spent.

I still have my PSOne and a PS2 (not my original Phat one, sadly), despite my PS3 being fully backwards compatible. I also still have my Game Boy Advance SP and DS Lite.

I doubt I'd ever get rid of them.

I still have my SNES, PS2, N64, Game Cube, Game Boy Color, Game Gear and my parent's old Atari 2600(I also have a Commodore 64 but that hasn't worked in years) so... yeah. I'd never consider getting rid of any of them.

I'm really considering skipping over this console generation though. I may just get a WiiU and then just get everything else for PC. We'll see what happens.

I've only ever gotten rid of two consoles: my original Xbox and my Gamecube. In the case of the former, it was on its last legs and there was only one game I played regularly on it that was not functional on the 360, so that wasn't too difficult a choice, but with the Gamecube I have always regretted losing it. Between games I just never played and that constant nagging in the back of my mind to check in on my Animal Crossing town, I feel like my GCN would still be very often played in my abode. I've been so tempted to rebuy it, but I just never have $25 to throw away on a used GCN. I mean... that's a sealed MtG event! Or, if I'm lucky, two drafts!

Anywho, unless the next Xbox is fully backwards compatible with the Mass Effect, Halo, Far Cry, XBLA, and Splinter Cell games, I don't see my 360 going anywhere.

Of course.

I have a lot of fond memory's with the old thing.

I never give away my old stuff if it has good memory's, hell I still have my original Xbox and PS2 around somewhere and now I feel really old despite the fact I'm only 18. :(

...no, I'll throw it out...?

I anticipate plenty of cross-gen releases for current gen consoles, so I'll be keeping mine in active service at least until I find out how many rumours are true.

I always hold on to my old systems. I still have my PS2, original XBOX, Play Station and Nintendo 64 and I still play them all occasionally. Why would I dump my 360 now? As long as they make games for them, I will use them. Maybe after they quit I will let it go, but not until then.

I have never got rid of a console in my life, why would I?

Even my busted PS3 runs Netflix so it still has a use; by the time the PS4 and 720 come out you'll get buttons for selling previous gen consoles; backwards compatibility just isn't a thing anymore, it seems, so I see no reason to cut myself off from my huge library of great PS3 games, just like I didn't with my PS2.

Son please, I've still got my Mega Drive I and black & white Gameboy. And three Playstations, but that's another story.

When I get a PS4, the PS3 will either go in the bedroom or my son's room depending on whichever my fiance wants. Course she might want it to stay in living room and the PS4 in our room.

Even if the ps4 was backwards compatible I'd still keep my ps3. I don't like getting rid of my electronics but maybe I'm a bit of pack rat. I got a lot data stored on the console anyway and if all else fails, I could use it an entertainment box for storing digital movies and TV shows

I know that feel. I sold most of my ps1 games except for Spiderman (that game was too great) and I sold my n64 to my cousin which I regret because now it barely works (I can emulate any game from it but it's no the same). Its part of the reason I still have my Wii and Gamecube. Me and my sister still play my Gamecube (can't say the same for my Wii). but I should probably do some spring cleaning with my insane amount of games for them

I still have my Apple //e, so that suggests that I like to hold on to things. All of that aside, I've spent too much money on games that I haven't finished yet. I'll be keeping my current gen consoles and/or replacing them if need be so that I can finish those games and justify the money I've spent on them.

I also know I won't have any disposable cash in the coming year to buy any of the new consoles, whatever their price-points might be.

Of course I am. I'm not going to be able to afford the next Xbox when it comes out anyway.

We don't know if the the Nextbox will be backwards compatible or not. We will soon though, and that's when I will actually make a decision on anything regarding the next gen.

Even if I intended to get the NextBox, why would I throw out my 360? As long as it works, I'm keeping it. Hell, I still have my Gamecube. I'd still use my N64 if the sticks on the controllers hadn't worn down in sensitivity. Still, both the Zelda games from N64 have Gamecube versions, which I've gotten my hands on, so that's alright.

In any event, if you've already flushed several hundred bucks on it and it still works, why throw it out?
