For Fallout and Oblivion, I used to use Fallout Nexus and The Elder Scrolls Nexus. They worked alright, but most of the mods where crap and a couple of them had viruses attached that were a pain in the ass to deal with. With Skyrim, Bethesda is going to share mods through the Steam community, and I think it's a great idea. So where are you going to get yours?

Well unless steam has some way to filter the sex and sexy armor mods out of the top rated list I'll be going to the nexus

Got nothing against them mods per say its just a bit annoying to sift through them to find the good stuff

Nexus, definitely. I used the shit out of the Oblivion Nexus, Fallout 3 Nexus and the New Vegas Nexus. Never encountered a problem. . .which makes me raise an eyebrow when you say you got a virus from their site o_O or that they only had crap; you make me think you were using some other nexus I don't know about, because the Nexus was the shit.

Anyway, I'm not going to use just one place to get my mods, I'm gonna use any site that hosts a mod I want. I'll definitely use the Nexus the most, and the workshop second most.

Honestly, probably both. But Nexus will likely be my main. But then again we'll see how well categorized the Steam system will be.

I'm going to try to not mod too much, though. I kind of broke my first installation of Oblivion with too many mods.

Currently, I'm getting them from the Nexus still. When that happens... most likely still the Nexus. Unless there's a mass migration from the Nexus over to Steam.

Also, you got viruses from their site? I never did once and I had to have doubled the size of my Oblivion install with all the mods I got. You have some bad luck.

Ugh, this, a million times this. I'll never understand why anybody makes or downloads nude armour mods. If you're in "the mood", I hear there are some resources on the internet for that. I don't see the logic to having random softcore if your RPGs.

OT: I don't mod too heavily, but I'll probably stick to the nexus. I doubt bethesda will put a spotlight on the really game changing overhauls and terrible design choice fixes. It wouldn't look good for them if they were advising people to download user mods that fixed their own game.

I use nexus at the moment, steam might be easier to organize though, and if that is the case I will be very happy with that, assuming it has the diverse mods that the nexus will have.

I'll get theme from where ever they are. I like the idea of what Bethesda is trying to do and will use steam to get them unless there is some unreasonable service charge or some other problem. But if they aren't there I'll go whereever they are.

Mostly Nexus as I never had any problems there, and I'll try to make my own as well. I'll probably try through Steam too, though

I'll most likely get most through Steam and check the Nexus for those that aren't on Steam that I want.

I have always used Nexus, but if Steam has them, sign me up. They would probably be a lot easier and less buggy.

I've spent at least a thousand hours on the various Nexus sites (TES/Fallout3/Fallout NV) so I'm used to that. I think I'll be downloading from there and installing things manually. I'll also make some of my own, nothing more than texture replacements/NPC edits though.

Nexus...

It's interesting that mods finally will become available on Steam, but also kinda meh. For those of you who play (have played) World of Warcraft (so, basically everyone ;)... It's like someone makes an awesome mod and then Blizzard copies it. Sure, it's closer to the "source", but in the end we already had it.

What I am hoping for is that Steam with handle mods differently instead of just copying Nexus. If Steam adds something to the whole functionality/experience of modding then sign me on. Otherwise I'll stay with Nexus.

Nexus, it's been a huge ressource for fallout and Elder scrolls, even found a few dragon age mods worth using.

I find it hard to believe you got a virus on the nexus though... ?

Nexus, unless Steam really blows them out of the water in terms of quality and quantity.
