So, having looked at Bethesda's website to see what they're up to, I looked at Skyrim and saw that the game is 'now available' for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. http://bethsoft.com/en-us/games/skyrim
Since it's Bethesda's official website, it's true until further notice by the company. But even so, I? don't understand the rational except for money grabbing. They'd need to recode the game, the DLC, and all the patches they have worked on as well as any new patches that will be coming out for new bugs.
And since this would have been worked on for at least six months by now, that's development time taken away from any other game they might have in the works(Since it's not actually 'available now' as the site claims it is).
Another issue I have is that bringing the game over and its current content, are they going to make PS4/Xbone specific DLC not available for the 360 and PS3? Not many people have the new consoles(5 million PS4 to 82 million PS3/3 million Xbones to 81 million 360s) so how would they sell it? Not all the new gen owners would buy the revamped Skyrim.
So my question to everyone. Like the poll says, are you okay with Bethesda/any company porting a game that is more than a year old to the new generation of consoles?
