I got the feeling that they wanted to get werewolfs in to the game but they didn't have time to implement it so they decaided not to include but will probably release it in DLC
Except that they're already confirmed to be in the initial game.

Never EVER mention Twilight and Skyrim in the same sentence unless the words "that, like, nothing, is " are between it.
Problem? (Sorry, couldn't resist. :p)
Can you please link me to it then?

If I had to chose, vampire, because they can live for ever, though I'm just wondering, would you still get hurt by the sun? I'm not going to get Skyrim but I'd like to know that they stick to the hypothetical facts
I'll be honest, I never caught vampirism in Oblivion (the only other TES game I've played), so I don't know how it's implemented. I would assume that it'd be a bit lenient, perhaps only decreasing stats or such during the day.

I'd look it up, but.... lazyness. Y'know.
at the last stage of vampirism you couldnt go outside without losing your health very very quickly :p

OT:
Werewolf all the way... Nord Viking with big axes and ofc my skizofrenic mind that is shared with a werewolf called Bob that likes to eat bunnies :D

As a vampire in Oblivion, you do get sun damage, but you don't get a stat penalty. In fact, the longer you go without feeding the more your stats go up - but also the more damage you get from the sun. Also: if you are fully fed, the sun doesn't hurt you at all.

If I can still do my wizardy stuffs as a werewolf, then that would be awesome - or at least the ability to turn it on and off at will. Otherwise it may just get in the way of my play style.

There's one on the first page of this thread. OR, alternatively, check the official site's spoilers forum.

From what I've seen, you become a melee machine, using only claws, and from reports on the official forums, you can't use magic or shouts in lycan form, but you do gain the ability to roar and frighten enemies.

Although the footage I've seen does show the character's sword scabbard on his hip after transforming, while all other items disappear, so I'm not sure.

No prob. ^_^

Oh, and another interesting tidbit, you eat corpses to stay in were form longer. That's why the player in the video is munching on his fallen enemies.

I want to try out being a werewolf. I became a vampire in Oblivion by accident and I didn't like it at all. So I want to see whether it's fun to play as a werewolf.

I tried vampirism once in Oblivion, and it sucked bigtime. I'll start hunting werewolves first chance I get, and I'm not quittin' until I get bitten!

Werewolf, seeing as my character is gonna be as close to a Fenrisian as I can get him. Will make a seperate save though in case it turns out to be crap and the cure quest is as much of a ballbuster as it was in Oblivion.

It depends on the execution. Morrowind's treatment of vampires was a step in the right direction. You had different vampire "houses" that each had a separate questline and you got house specific stat bonuses. The downside was that vampirism made it ridiculously hard to do simple things like... go from point A to point B (fast travel requires talking, people don't talk to vampires). So basically, vampires in morrowind had potential to be really cool and fun but had some major drawbacks. Ok... I like that. How about oblivion? They abandoned all of that cool stuff and reduced vampirism to just the stat bonuses (and sun damage). So, if vampirism in Skyrim is treated more like it was in morrowind, then, by night, I will most certainly prey on the plebeian cattle as a vampire.

Werewolf. No contest at all. I like vampires, but not in Elder Scrolls. If they had some that were more like Bram Stoker's vampires, then it would be a hard choice, but the way it is...no.

I've also always loved wolves and werewolf myth. Plus, I'm more of an direct assault person rather than stealth.

Just because of good ol' Vincent from Oblivion, I know which I'll be picking in his name.
Aah the amusement of it all...

If vamps are anything like oblivion, then fuck no.Your character looked like they turned 187 years old with bloodshot eyes, and no real upside.

Being a werewolf at least has its uses,ie:being a gigantic badass.

That said,I'll be trying to keep my delicate nordic curves, not turn into either one.
HOWEVER! If werebears are in the game,or will be implemented ingame, sign me up for that.

I prefer the idea of a vampire, considering a werewolf argonian seems a little fucked up.
However if the Vampires from Oblivion are anything to go off of.. fuck that, they were terrible.
Ill probably try both though.

*Remembers experience as a vampire in Oblivion*
uuuh, neither thanks. Though depending how it is, for my second and third characters I'll go for one. Thief would be vampire, mage werewolf.
