Poll: Skyrim VS. MW3

Ok boys and girls, riddle me this:

Me and my co-worker we're having an argument of which was better, MW3 or Skyrim. Just to clarify, he doesn't play video games and doesn't keep in touch with news in the game industry. His arguement was that because more people had heard of MW3(TV commercials, news, random internet pop-ups, etc.), that would make the game more popular, therefore it's better. I would say that just because a game gets rehashed every year doesn't make it better. It's about story and how emersed you become in the game is what makes it great. While I have nothing against it, MW3 (or almost any other COD for that matter) doesn't have that same greatness that Skyrim, Mass Effect, or Portal have(fyi: he's never heard of Portal or Mass Effect either). So now I'm creating a poll to either prove me right, or make me feel ashamed of my fellow gamers haha. So the question is, which in your opinion is the better game?

For banhammer safety, I have Skyrim. Played MW3 and liked it. Only had enough money for one game. That's as clear of an answer as you're going to get from me.

I haven't even played Skyrim yet nor am I really that interested and I'm still going to vote for it. Modern Warfare 3 is probably the most disappointing out of every COD game I have played (every one since COD 4).

But between the two, and ignoring the whole "two different games" thing: Hmm... exploitable or unintentional bugs can end up making both games annoying, frustrating, or downright unplayable... just that in one case, it becomes so rage-inducing you become unwilling to play it anymore, and in the other case, the game literally becomes unplayable. Are they really that different?

I kid, I kid, of course. While I do think that MW3 is actually not that bad, and that if the technical issues like lag and spawns are ever fixed, it'd be great, I do prefer Skyrim's depth, ambition and plus I just prefer RPGs to FPS games.

But in all seriousness, Skyward Sword.

Skyrim. Not only is it proof of god's infinite love, but its also NOT a shitty game.

MW3 can't claim to be either of those things.

This versus is broken. I love playing MW3 online, and will probably get more out of it than Skyrim. However, I love playing Skyrim after I get a few drinks in me, and just dicking around the massive world.

They are both good in their own rights. Any argument is invalid considering look at the number of fucking fans they have. They both have enough fans to create a small nation. That and they are both different genre of games all together. What kind of question is this really... they are both icons of their own genre and both good in their own ways.

Honestly MW3 has spawned less annoying fanboys than Skyrim has, so MW3, even though I haven't even played that damn game yet.
