I found some very old threads on search to do with this, but I have checked and there is nothing completely relevent and recent.

Just a quick, and probably obvious question to the escapists: Does your sleep pattern change during the holidays?
If you are not on holiday now, then consider times when you are on holiday, and what it is like then.

For me, I am on summer holidays, and I always end up going to bed much later, and sleeping in far too much. I am wondering if other people manage to get up earlier or if this is the case for most people.
I do have a holiday job, which I wake up for, but it is still later than during term time, so for me still counts.

I'm the same as you, much later nights and I lie in far too much. I'm aiming to try and kick the habit by the end of the month though, I want to enjoy my last pre-uni August as much as possible.

I'm currently getting to bed at around 4am and waking up at about 2pm most days, what do you think?

I'm doing about the same thing. During school, I go to bed around midnight, and wake up at around 9 am.

It gets screwed up, last christmas I woke up at seven to eight pm and went to bed around eight am. And it's starting to look somewhat the same now.

Both of these exactly.

Nice to see I'm not alone.

It doesn't change much, I always end up going to bed late one way or another. The odd time I might get to bed before 1 am.

I don't even has a daily basis sleep schedule. I go to bed anywhere from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM and wake up anywhere from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It just depends on what I'm doing that day.

Wait, you guys wake up for school at 9:00? Wow, what time does school start for you because my school starts a 7:00 AM.

After doing shift work for nearly two years I can say that my sleep patterns are well... erratic (read f*cked) to say the least. There are times (on holiday or even just the weekend) when one day I'll get up at midday and the very next day I'll be up at 6:30am - not being able to get back to sleep - for no other reason than my body-clock is lying, shattered & broken in the corner.

It'll be interesting to see how long it'll take to fix my body-clock as I'm leaving my job in six working days - at last - to go travelling.

Quite frankly I can't wait until I can start having some structure to my sleep patterns again.

I don't think that will work for me though... since some of my friends from GB are staying in Portugal for me, which will probably mess me up even more, especially since I won't need to wake up to work then!

I tend to have a messed up sleep pattern during the summer holidays because I work more. I'm usually out until 3 a.m. and end up sleeping until like, 11. As for Christmas and such, well this year I'll be in bed at 9 p.m. and getting up at 4 a.m. ='(

Six hours! I wish I got six hours. Six hours would be a very long relaxing night of sleep.

I usually get to sleep around 2am to 3am and occasionally some near crisis is not happening that requires me to show up and smack my employees around a bit, so I get to sleep in. Even then I cannot sleep any later then about 10, I have no shade, and the house quickly heats up. This is also Washington no houses where made with air conditioning, the best I can do would be to get a unit for the window. I only rent this place, and only one window actually opens... Hell I think the heat is getting to me. I need to finally save up enough to get back into my house.

My natural sleep cycle is to go to bed around three or four in the morning and sleep in. However...

I will sleep 'til noon but before it's dark, I'll have every picnic basket that's in Jellystone Park.
