Well here in Australia we don't use pennies anymore, our smallest form of currency is the 5 cent piece (At least I think it still is). And I'm somewhat stingy with money so if I ever see a 5 cent piece laying on the ground or the change from a purchase is 5 cents I'll take it.

Your friend sounds like a tosser for getting mad over something silly like that, but personally I like to save small change.

I just let it accumulate in my pocket until I have enough to buy a snack from a vending machine. (I'm an adult with a proper paying job too, but I refuse to put dollar bills in vending machines for some reason.)

I collect all my change, then cash them in.

By the end of the month, I'll have about 60 bucks in change that I can turn in for bills.

Hell yeah you should save your change. The change I amass from buying lunch at work during the week and beer down the pub at the weekend quickly builds up. I must change up a good £150-200 a year.

I dump my small change into a bucket with a vague plan to get it converted into real money at some point in the future, but I've never done it. A couple of times I donated all my accumulated small change to a Darfur charity.

This summer, my roommate, who does the same thing, put it all in rolls and ended up with nearly $100. He was dirt-poor at the time and wanted to take a girl on a date, though. I don't handle my money in such a way that I'll ever be that desperate, however.

When I get pennies, I just toss 'em. Unless my fiances with me, she keeps the bloody things. Rolls them and after 2 months makes all of what...probably 5 bucks. Whoopie.

I'll save nickels, dimes and quarters. But not pennies. I can't stand those little bastards.

If the movie Office Space taught me anything, it is that pennies add up.

And Hypnotism is really cool.

and skinny white dorks singing gangsta rap is funny in any decade.

For gluing 45 pennies together, I think you need a girlfriend. But like, that's not wasting money. Wasting money is wiping your ass with a 1$ bill (or more) EVERY TIME. When I was like 7 I would do that all the time cause I thought it was cool. Then one day I backed the toilet up, and can you imagine what kind of scolding I got?

I say we abolish change, and round everything to the nearest dollar!

Whenever I have change in my wallet, I always end up spending it on crap I don't need. I would buy a Pepsi Max every day after school because I had change, all that money spent D:

Wait a second, I would of bought a Pepsi Max anyway, because they are awesome.

I keep quarters, occasionally dimes, rarely nickels, never pennies. I mean I don't try to get rid of them, but they make better paper weights.
