Mewtwo tugs on my nostalgia strings, but honestly Lucario wins. He's got a better character design, and I feel he fits the moveset better. As much as I love him, I always felt Mewtwo looked kinda...stupid.

That said, I wish Lucario didn't talk. He doesn't have to say his name over and over, just grunts and yells like Mewtwo would be fine. But having a Pokemon talk outright (who isn't Meowth) just feels weird. Also, it starts to put him over the "anthropomorphic" line, into the same camp as the Star Fox crew, which is kind of redundant from a "character diversity" standpoint.

Though honestly, if I want any Pokemon characters in the next SSB I want a new Pokemon Trainer with the Generation 2 starters. Also, Lucario could be swapped out for Blaziken and I would be happy >__>.
Blaziken would be a natural for brawl! to bad does not have enough notoriety to be even considered

Mewtwo, for sure. His grabs were fantastic, his teleport was good fun, and his aerial neutral A was amazing, where he charged his body with electricity. His Across-B seemed a bit badly designed, but the rest of his moves were just great.

Neither. Mewtwo was far too floaty, and Lucario was useless until you took enough damage for Aura to kick in.

[HEADING=2]Sheik! I choose you![/HEADING]

That picture of Sheik is so very obviously a female... how can anyone confuse Sheik for a guy?
Mostly because TLOZ series lacks any kind of strong male support role for the inevitable rabid fangirls to write yaoi fanfiction about.

Ergo, they've gotten it into their heads that Zelda turns into a man when she transforms, instead of, you know, just being disguised as a man.

All because they want a dude to have sex with Link.

Like Yaoi? Fine, I'm not here to judge, but don't try and use flawed logic as to why Sheik is not a woman.
But didn't part of the dialogue in OoT clearly say "he" or "a man" or whatever at some point when adressing Sheik? Maybe Zelda was just playing of the first impression androgynity(not sure if that's a word) of her transformation, i don't know...

Anyways: I want Mewtwo back. Though i would want him to move about a little differently. He felt like he was moving around with some really slow no_clip on the last time around. I liked his moveset though(and no it's not entirely the same as Lucario's. Unlike Capt. Falcon and Ganondorf)

I LOVE your explanation! It makes so much sense!
On to the question, I say it doesn't matter really. everyone has there preference.
And to those that only see or know the original 150, grow the hell up and move one. -.-
I grew up with the Original 1-5-0, yet I can move on easily. Change happens, and more pokemon were bound to come. You can only catch the same guys so many times before it gets boring.

Yes. Because she was disguised as a man

Of course the dialogue is going to say 'he' and 'him' if everyone believes Sheik to be a dude.

Still doesn't change the fact that it was Zelda in disguise.

I preferred Lucario's playstyle....

Sure, it was VERY similar to Mewtwo's... (or in fact copied if you will) But I found that Lucario flowed better in fighting style...
But I mainly prefer agile heroes to slower ones... And I just found Lucario's run/jump/float speed much faster....

Where is the "Both" option. I mean, once they introduce a character to the series, they shouldn't remove it later. Sure, some are clones ("Oh yes, let's take out Mewtwo and Roy, but keep Falco and add Wolf, are we bright dur dur"), but so what? There will always be someone who plays Pichu or Roy or even Dr. Mario.

So yes, I want both Lucario and Mewtwo (along with all previous characters in the last three games) to appear in SSB4.
I agree. I mean, they altered Ganondorf and Falco so that they had distinct fighting styles in Brawl, why not do the same to the rest of the "clones"?

Except Young Link. Toon Link has already taken that spot...

I going with Lucario but only because Mewtwo was once great. Sure he's still the most powerful psychic type but how does that make him when compare to the might of Grodon and Kyogre who both created Hoenn, Dailga and Palkia who are master of time and space or even Arceus a Pokemon god?

Solid Snake! (I know this isnt about snake but he never gets enough love)
You have to play passive as snake, harassing them with mines and timed bombs while everyone kills each other, then finish em of with the rocket launcher.

I like mewtwo better, lucario would be cooler if the furrys didnt destroy him like everything they touch.
Snake is like the second most powerful character in the game through merit of his immense speed/range/priority/damage.
He's the third heaviest in the game, has some of the highest variety projectiles, all of his moves are amazing at shutting out the opponents actions, juggling them, and flat out killing them.

He gets more love then he knows what to do with.

I liked Lucario in the movie but Mewtwo was just too bad-ass for me to deny.
I vote Mewtwo, even though I didn't like playing either of them.

Need to choose between Lucario and MewTwo? Why not Zoidberg?
Really I would say both because the shared a total of one move and could both be in the game with being clones which would solve this debate. But if I had to choose. I think Lucario because I was better as him.

Escapist seems to have failed to put up my post.. Ah well, time to retype it
Personally I prefer Mewtwo simply because he is nostalgic for me. He was the only legendary out of the original 150 who actually had a backstory beyond "This is legendary, throw ultraballs at it!" Is lucario arguably a better fighter once he has soaked up enough damage? Yes, but he just does not have the appeal Mewtwo does.
That being said, I see no reason not to have both characters. I agree with whoever said that all the characters should return in the next installment. This has the appeal of letting me choose any character I damn well choose from the previous installments so I don't have to learn a new moveset as well as choose from a new cast of characters. Not enough room on a disk? DLC. Super Smash Bros is one of those games I enjoy so much I would gladly shell out $10 or so for more characters. Within reason of course, none of this "oh we add 3 characters at a time" bullshit, I daresay a dollar a character would be a fair price for the consumer, and knowing this series, it would easily make its money back.
