No, I'm not talking about that kind of game fuel, [http://www.rebgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Game-fuels.jpg][footnote]although you could admit to drinking it here, not judging... much... ;)[/footnote] but referring to the things we put in our stomachs while gaming for long sessions (over 4 hours). What kind of food/drinks do you consume when your clan is counting on you or when you're just blazing through a storyline and can't stop?

Personally I tend to just power on through without any food or sugary drinks out of respect for my desk and keyboard. Ice water or (on more rambunctious nights) booze tend to be the things that sit beside the monitor on long stretches. I've always maintained that a pizza break should be accommodated for when doing marathon gaming.

That's just me though. Some people don't stop for meals and eat while they play. Snack food or otherwise, what do you munch on inbetween quests in Diablo or other games? Do you stop to refresh yourself or do you eat on the run?

Genuinely curious about how other players here manage to keep hunger and zombies at bay simultaneously. :p

I've become boring and jaded in my old age. I don't ever marathon game anymore; four plus hours is a long time to just sit there and do...anything really. What happened to me?

Anyway, if I'm drinking anything, I'm drinking either water or Mountain Dew Kiwi Kickstarter (the coconut water one because it's healthy....ish....healthier then pop! Don't judge me!!!) and when it comes to food, I'm stopping to eat.

Booze!

I rarely eat anything while I'm in a gaming session, but a strong drink, either whiskey or beer, is always at arms reach. With food though, I will pause the game and get something to eat since I will probably forget it's there and make the tummy not happy.

Then again, the longest gaming session I have now is somewhere around 3 to 4 hours since I'm just relaxing after a long day. Beer or something else is the norm at that point.

Depends on my mood, and the game. Any high skill/hard game prevents me from drinking during a session. But for less serious games I might have some beer, or scotch, assuming I can afford it.

Other wise during a gaming sessions. Some highly highly caffeinated soda, maybe some candy, maybe some chips.

But I don't marathon game much anymore, just really don't have the endurance for it anymore. Makes me miss my younger days of doing things like playing eight hours straight of Starsiege: Tribes, Counter Strike, or some game I hadn't yet beaten.

I don't like eating and playing at the same time, I can't touch the controller if my hands are filthy with snacks!

So then you have never heard of things like napkins, or wet wipes? I actually hear this complaint a lot from masculine male, transmale, and tomboy female gamers I know. Apparently the secrets of napkins, wet wipes, and cleanliness are secrets exclusive to those of us in touch with our feminine sides.

I don't eat when I play, but if I were to, I guess I'd go for cookies. Jammie Dodgers, I think, like The Doctor eats.

I've heard of the press-start-to-pause-and-go-have-dinner-at-the-dinner-table technique. It's risky, but I like living dangerously.

It's simple: righty moves the mouse or presses buttons, lefty holds the food/drink. If I come across something which requires both hands, my mouth becomes a third hand and holds whatever it is until lefty becomes available again.

Using this technique, I once ate a whole 12 inch pizza over the course of a dota match, as well as accompanying drink.

I tend not to eat when I play, unless it's something like an TBS or something. My usual fuel is some kind of diet pop. I tend to prefer Sunkist or Mtn. Dew over others though. The occasional water or glass of milk will slips its way in.

In my experience, sitting on one's arse making small movements with one's wrists and fingers isn't the kind of activity that generates a lot of hunger.

I tend to keep a bottle of water handy, if that counts.

I deny 'gamer fuel'. I eat food, as in meals, like a person. So do gamers. They're not Morlocks.

Usually tea, sometimes a glass of milk if a prefer a cold drink.

Snacks are typically chocolate biscuits, sometimes crisps and sometimes a packet of cream crackers and a tube of cheese spread.

I usually just have black coffee or water, I can't eat biscuits and crisps due to a gluten intolerance (gluten free products taste like disappointment) and I tend to not snack between meals. The rare times that I do, I tend to go for fruit and veg, usually either an apple, blueberries, raspberries or carrot sticks. Nothing too exciting really.

I don't really have one per say (blame my parent for fixed time meals).

Granted I do takes snack but I don't have specific snack to eat during gaming. At the most the snack I eat is usually biscuit related which is good as I can keep it hand free.
