I'm tactical, I would wait for back up in that sort of situation then do 'cover and move' before using a flash, grenade or smoke just prior to entry. Given that maps are static, unchanging, it isn't hard to guess where the likely positions would be and to cover potential escape roots. Sadly given that players tend to be less team oriented, let alone trained in what to do, it is likely I would have to cover and move all by myself....

A better question would be the game your playing has had a bit of an error & youve spawned in the middle of the map, on a friendly fire server.

What do you do ?

I would wonder about the coding and how it happened, then likely fortify myself and wait for backup. Sadly I would feel obliged to use it to my advantage, given that trying to fall back to the squad would more then likely end up with me being shot while in the open, and weaken their flanks before they crash with the rest of my, advancing I hope, squad.

I think a more critical question would be: you spawned behind their spawn, now what do you do?

I would try to flank him, but seeing as that's not an option I would camp, then advance slowly.

Snipers... I hate them, especially in Far Cry 2 multiplayer, every moterfucker and their dog plays sniper in that game! Sniping, sure, legit strategy and all, and I don't mind one or two, but when the entire opposing team plays sniper, I just feel like reaching into my screen and choke them. SO I sneak around the map and shoot them in the back with a silenced weapon.

But i know the best way to kill myself as it were.

If i was that guy, i would get the hell out if it was open, to a more...one way place, if they were following me i'd lay down a mine, go prone with my revolver and wait for them.

Best way to kill that is to take a quick peek, then move back to cover, then i'd throw a Michelin star grenade their way to take them down, if that does work, flash them and revolver rush them down...or just get mowed down.
