Okay, everybody. Here's the deal. What's on the bottom side of a Dalek, making it go?

This is your challenge. If someone actually posts what the creators say is down there, we just change that to what SHOULD be down there. Aaand...GO!

I put 'little feet' because the idea of one of the deadliest, most merciless forces in the galaxy scuttling about on tiny feet amused me.

The bottom of a Dalek is made up of hamster balls. It hasn't got any control over where it goes, it's at the mercy of where the hamsters take it.

Read Discworld at some point:

OT: I'm gonna go with hoverboards. At least that is the case for modern Daleks. Older ones have skateboards as the next-best thing.

Have you ever heard of the Luggage from Discworld? Think that.

Dagnamit, if there's one thing I hate more than having somebody beat me to posting my idea, it's everybody beating me to posting my idea.

Sheer hatred. They hate everything, including gravity.
And now people are posting Colour of Magic references, I hadn't even thought of.

This day keeps getting better and better.

You can see the underside of a dalek a few times (not showing off the feet and wheels) and they are flat and featureless.

Pertwee says they don't have legs, they use psychokinetic power to move around.

I say the same way slug and snail move about but without the slimely trails.

It's ass, clearly. What a silly question.

Daleks run on a cushion of noxious flatulence.
Aha! We're getting somewhere!

To be fair, that line was to get around the whole 'machines aren't working' thing in the episode...which, funnily enough, would do nothing for their eyestalks.

I answered the smaller dalek. To carry the larger one though of course so there's nothing but daleks carrying larger daleks.

Roller skates.
While they may have a tough and cruel exterior, Daleks are also known for hosting the best roller skating discos this side of the Universe!

Tiny tiny ballbearings.
The whole reason they keep on invading places is so people will keep shooting conveniently small bits of metal at them [http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070415203309/scifi/images/4/44/Dalek_shield.jpg], which they can then melt down into more ballbearings. Otherwise they just grind to a halt.

It's all fairly tragic - they're the most misunderstood species in the universe.

I like to think it's like a reverse airhockey type thing.

Doesn't it face stairs at one point and uses thrusters to fly?

I think I need to defer to an expert opinion for this.

Seems legit. I mean the best alternate answer I know of involves swamp gas and a weather balloon.
