He's dead, this shows some things, like dont fuck with Navy SEALs. He has paid for his crimes through his death, we have made but only a step forward with the War on Terror with this, but, someone will take his place, but has this done something, yes.
Oh of course someoen will take his place it is just a matter of who, how many rivals he killed to get to that position and how weak that will leave the group after the guy who takes over finally consolidates his power.
Lets just hope the next guy is not as bad as Ol' Binny
Meh let him be as bad, if they had the means of attacking us like they did on 9/11 they would have done so by now. I hope that when the next guy pops up it won't take a decade to find and eliminate him.

Justice has been served, for that I'm glad, even if he's been hiding for a long time. I do care as I'm hoping this will begin closure on this whole "War on Terror".

I would if they offered us any evidence whatsoever that they got him. First rule of the internet is pics/video or it didn't happen. There are no pics. There is no video. Nothing happened. My guess is they finally found conclusive evidence that he died of natural causes 5+ years ago and wanted to take credit for it.

I guess your right, but you gotta admit, Osama good at being a coward, he must have been a total bro at hide'n'seek as a kid :p

I don't think it really changes anything. He hasn't been the actual leader of Al'Qaeda fo a while and now he's seen as a martyr.

All it achieved is to reveal how sadistic and sick some people can be, a party in the street? I don't care who he was that is never appropriate.

Was that moral boost worth the 14,000 to 34,00 (depending on report) civilian deaths? That is, death, end of life, nothing, nada. Was that boost worth the 7,000 + US soldiers who died?

I'm not saying it's all been for nothing, but it's a hollow victory at best. If you think a brief economic surge is going to make up for that, you're mistaken. He's dead, and it all still happened. End.
I get really tired of reading this bleeding heart argument.

If it gives any relief to the friends and families of people affected by 9/11 that is great but I think that is the only thing that could come from it even remotely to our advantage. He is just one person from millions that hate us personally for the choices of our political leaders, the prosperity we have and the lives we lead. There is no way we can make them like us and I think our only other choice is to keep them hiding in disorganized fear.

The news were entertaining. Something noteworthy happened for once, and I was excited to be able to tell my classmates.
That said though, I probably couldn't care much less.

He's dead; and maybe it was for the best, maybe not, but I'm not really happy about it like everyone that surrounds me is. He's dead, woo, but that doesn't change the foul acts he has committed. If anything, it could only encourage more people to try and take his place, which could make matters worse.

I'm not exactly ecstatic, but I still care about what's going on.

Nah i don't care... Also you can't really say "justice has been done" until he's been on trial and convicted... Yeah good luck with that

I am glad that bin Ladn is finally dead, but at the same time I wonder if it will change anything in the long run. That's something quite unsettling to think about.

Bleeding heart? Those are cold statistics, not some "think of the children" type whinge. End of the day, thousands of people are dead, and you don't give a shit? Says loads about you really... I think there are a load of people have have a pretty strong opinion on folk like that

he's dead, that's a good thing, he was an extremist and an all round terrible, hate filled person, and the only reason I feel bad about his death is that now he will never be held accountable for the atrocities he had a hand in. but all in all, good riddance.

however I not naive enough to assume this changes anything, he was not the sole cause of islamic extremism and it will continue without him.
