I'm curious.

Because personally, I don't. Between DA2's not small list of problems (the non-ending, dumbing down the combat, retconning player choices, the plot holes) and the fact that everyone's suspicions about choice not mattering have basically been confirmed by ME3- I struggle to care about what's otherwise a pretty bog standard RPG. And by consequence I axed my save games a while ago.

Thoughts? Opinions? Redundant whining about how my whining is redundant?

I care about Dragon Age: Origins. Still find it fun to replay from time to time. I don't give a shit about DA2. And since Bioware said that they'll stick with a voiced protagonist, I don't give a shit about DA3 either. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, DA2 never even existed.

Here's my pipeline dream that's barely related to this. Bioware should combine DA and ME. Give us all of the standard fantasy elements of dwarves, elves, dragons, and magic. Then set that shit in the future. IN SPACE. Suddenly you have dragon-slaying snipers and wizards shooting down spaceships. Fuck yeah.

DA:O is still a decent game. If I ever get over my crippling alt-oholism I'll replay it again. DA2 was absolute shit on a stick and I wont be fooled again.

I don't care about a voiced protagonist, if they make it like DA:O. That was the least of DA2's problems. Risen and Risen 2 had a voiced protagonist and they were fine. I can think of a bunch of others.

I wouldn't say I don't care, but my level of enthusiasm is greatly tempered by skepticism and distrust so I guess I'll go meh.

I liked the original Dragon Age... for a while. But little things in the game eroded my enjoyment of the game to the point where I actually forgot to complete it until DA 2 came out. Little things like how if you aren't a Rogue, you can't pick (any) of the locks you come across until you get Liliana and the lack of a voice for the main character. The gameplay was so-so and the interaction between the Warden and the party members didn't seem to vary much regardless of what gender, race or caste you were playing. Just little things like that, but after a while all those little things added up to a great big Meh at the time and leading to not even bothering to purchase DA2 or many of the downloadable content.

My love of DA:O keeps me in a naive state of "it'll go back! BW knows where they messed up so they'll fix it!" After ME3 think "3rds time a charm they rly can't mess it up now!" I know she isn't coming back but I still keep the light on.

My care for Dragon Age moved with much of its original team. Which means I don't care for DA2, DA3, or Bioware anymore for that matter.

I actually didn't think DA2 was that bad. Not a great game, and certainly nowhere near as good as DA:O, but I don't agree with the majority of the hate.
Probably because any of the retconned choices matched up with my actual choices and I still found the gameplay to be enjoyable enough.

As long as you're posting from the future- how's the economy when you're at? :p

oh hello future man, i'll remember that for when DA3 comes out!

OT: i loved origins, and DA2 was kinda a "meh", nowhere near as much as i disdained me3, some of problems people had with DA2 were a bit more subjective that didn't bug me and/or I liked, but I doubt it is going to get better for DA3, so i'm not getting even the slightest bit of hopes up for it, let alone buy it full price.

It's all good actually. Space Aliens came down, cleared up all the debts. New tech too. It's pretty cool.

I think 3 should take some tips from 1 and 2. Keep 2's combat, but make each dungeon different. No issues with a voices protagonist, because it worked really well with Mass Effect.

I loved Dragon Age: Origins and I'm currently playing through DA2. I very much care about the series and I hope for a third.

Don't get me wrong Dragon Age 2 has it's problems, it's rushed, it's buggy, but I still think it's pretty cool. Truth be told though, I really don't think it could be called Dragon Age 2...it's more like Dragon Age: The Hawke Adventures. Not a sequal, just a really big side quest.

I care about Dragon Age at the moment, I'm currently playing through DA:O for the first time, got Awakening and the other content to play. Then once my exams are over I'm giving DA2 a go.

I don't usually have the same problems with games as everyone seems to have, I thought ME3's ending wasn't all that bad when you think about it (though it did seem like the choices didn't really matter), I loved SW:TOR and found the story and gameplay awesome even after 10 years of playing MMOs. So I'm pretty optimistic about Dragon Age 2, from what I've seen it seems like they simplified it down just a bit too much, DA:O can be a little bit unecessarily complex at some points

I'm currently replaying Dragon Age Origins and am planning to give the second one another shot afterwards.
To be honest, DA2 isn't that bad. I had a bit of fun with it in my one playthrough despite the shitload of problems. I just was pissed because of how different it was from DA:O. But that feeling has faded so I should be able to enjoy it now.
I'll probably play Dragon Age 3 eventually when it's very cheap. I just don't trust BioWare to deliver a great game anymore.

I'm more skeptical, but I didn't hate DA2 as a lot of other people did. It wasn't very Dragon Age, but it was still a decent enough game. So I'll be watching DA3 with a close eye.

Also, are we still bitching about ME3's ending, people? Seriously? Give it a fucking rest. That's only tangentially related, and it's been discussed to death. Just wait for the ending DLC and then go back to talking about it.

Depends entirely on DA3. If the story and characters look good, I'll pick it up. Otherwise, I'm waiting on my trusted reviewers.
