So let's say there is an apocalypse, would you rather have a hot apocalypse (fallout style) or a cold apocalypse (the Road style)?
Also tell me why. I've been giving it a lot of thought and its hard because one would think, hot apocalypse, dehidration, but cold you freeze to death at nights. So think about all these factors and tell me. Eager to know.

I would say... hot. But that might just be because I'm Canadian and I'm fucking tired of winter.

Can you be more specific as to how hot or how cold, I mean I don't think the Fallout world is really a hot apocalypse, its more of the ground is contaminated with radiation so everything is dead making it a barren wasteland. But if we're talking like super hot vs super cold, imo it would probably be better to live in a cold one because you could always work around the cold with heaters, layers of clothing, if you need to grow food you could probably do so in a indoor environment. Whereas with extreme heat you can only shed so many layers of clothing to help keep cool, you'd probably be restricted to nighttime work only if it is too hot during the day, and any crops would burn out.

I'd say Cold Apocalypse. I mean, I love fallout, and that kind of setting, but realistically, it wouldn't be pleasant at all.
With a cold apocalypse, one of two things will happend. Either A, we still retain some means to keep warm, i.e. electricity, and it would be tolerable indoors.
Or B, there's no heat generation anywhere and we die slowly from hypothermia. Which, as far as I know, is the best way to die. You just kind of go numb, then get sleepy, then you're out and that's it. Doesn't sound so bad. Better than dying from radiation poisoning any day.

Can't we just have a temperate Apocalypse? I'd be cool with that, maybe just start a farm with my brahmin.

I'm gonna go with a cold apocalypse for one good reason: I dislike warm temperatures. Even when it's hardly 20 degrees Celsius I want to lock myself in a freezer with bandwidth. But when it's cold enough for most people to refuse the world and sit infront of roaring fires all the freaking day I can roll around in the snow half-naked (and get sick) and loving every second of it.

I think Hot, because there's a bigger chance of dying from cold then deyhradtion. There's more likely to be water supplies than sources of heat. Plus water is portable, whereas heat is harder to transport.

I put Zombies because that would be ridiculously fun till i died due to not being able to find Insulin (although I guess it would be like finding Zombrex in DR2)
Out of the hot and cold options I would choose Cold. I imagine that hell is warm so you cant be bothered to run from the pain or would get easily exhausted. Cold on the other hand I can move easier till I freeze and I wont fall to sleep and miss it.

I'd go for cold. At least then you can warm up if you want, I just can't seem to cool down when it's warm.

Although I hate feeling the coldness but I voting for cold. While you probably get burn alive at least with the coldness you wll have the painless death of falling asleep but not waking up from it (hoepfully you will have pleasent dream and not a nightmare).

When you say a hot apocalypse, I imagine more of a water-world kind of thing where all of the polar ice caps have melted and 99.9999% of the planet is covered in salt-water. I also envision the cold apocalypse as being like...uh...oh god what was that movie...the one where The Queen's helicopter froze during flight. The box-art featured New York City and the Statue of Liberty frozen up to her torch-hand. Anyway, I would go with that kind of a frozen apocalypse. The cold would encourage people to live in sort of nomadic tribes which I think would keep the number of outright bandits low. Also, snow and loose ice can be melted down into water. Food may be a problem though...The Water-World leaves a shit-load of fish to be caught...salty, salty fish.

Cold apocalypse. At least with the cold you could just wear more layers. Can't do anything against heat.

Apocalypse, noun. "a prophetic disclosure or revelation."
How pray tell can that be hot or cold? :p
(sorry, felt like being a smartass)

I believe you refer to "The Day After Tomorrow."

I'd go with hot. I hate the cold. Unfortunately, a nuclear war does both. 200 years of icy nuclear winter, then, after the vaporized dusts settle back to earth, a nuclear summer lasting... well until the survivors fine a way to replenish the ozone and that's assuming the nuclear and solar radiation doesn't cook them alive first. But assuming that it goes down kind of like Fallout (the vaults, anyway) hot would be better. Edible plants grow in heat, not so much in cold.

What about a rainy apocalypse? I hate it when it's too hot and when it's too cold...it's fantastic when it rains, though.
Wait, wait, apocalypse...right.

I plan on being too dead to care, unless anyone has any other plans for the apocalypse that would appeal to me.
