Wow, I'm pretty impressed at how close this poll's become. I really hope Mozilla can jump ahead. But for now I might try Chrome... For now.

Go for chrome it supports extentions now!!!!!
I have a built in dictionary adblock and a youtube quick search already and the speed is great even though i'm saving a bunch of tabs at once.

Although i like firefox too. I still use both.

Edit:Forgot about incognito
You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.

Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys
Surveillance by secret agents
People standing behind you
Sorry I just have to point this out again.
Incognito mode is nothing special
Firefox, IE and other internet browsers all have private browsing

Praise Chrome's speed, style and nature as much as you want but do not praise it for features that existed way before Chrome even existed.
That's a bit like saying you can't praise ipods more than other, older MP3 players because they did the same things first. Incognito mode is praiseworthy because it's implemented better than the other browsers.

Chrome FTW!

The main reason is this: when firefox crashes, it crashes everything. When chrome crashes, only that tab crashes, and it apologises to you for the inconvenience.

Plus it just seems less cluttered to me

I switched to Chrome a while ago and so far its been working great. Incognito mode kicks ass, and the extensions are awesome too!

"Incognito mode ftw!"

Edit: damned ninja's. Curse my over thinking...
Even IE has a private browsing mode... firefox doesn't? I'm shocked.
no, it does.

In my experience (as I have used both) Chrome didn't seem as stable as firefox and just seemed slower and tended to chug a lot more. There are some neat features to chrome and it deserves merit.I would still recommend firefox over chrome.

Google Chrome is just so easy to use, everything you need is right there. And it's fast, and it has incognito mode for you horny people out there.

Chrome. It has really got better than when it first came out. The built in features like bookmark sync, spellcheck, and the one big search/address bar are great. Now it has extensions I can block ads, open pages in an IE window quickly, and get live twitter updates. It comes down to Firefox vs Chrome, and I like Chrome's minimalist design a lot more.

It's crazy how many people have effectively said that Chrome is better since it's the superior porn viewing browser.

I'm really not interested in that tbh. It's much more a toss-up between customisation, homeliness & experience, versus speed and processor efficiency.

I expect:

People who use firefox will vote firefox.

People who have already switched to chrome will vote chrome.

Applehats and Operadongs and LinuXLols will vote the final option.
Actually, most of my fellow Mac users use Firefox or Chrome. Safari is to Mac as Windows Explorer is to Windows: if you really know what you're doing, you'll get something else. But still, Safari is exponentially better than Internet Explorer. But that's nothing new: a banana browses the internet better than Internet Explorer.

What's incognito mode?
A mode that doesn't track any records to your behaviors, so as to go on a website without it showing up on history or downloading anythin.

I prefer Firefox,
But on slow stuff, Chrome is so much easier.

I used firefox for a few years, then I switched to Chrome. Once I figured out where all the functions (except stop, where is that!?) I like it a lot more. It also feels a lot faster for me.

"hey, whats that google updater thingy i can not get rid of?" *curiosity sphere*

Can't anybody remember the chrome security issues that where discussed?
And all just love it because they can now download porn faster and their parents cannot find out?

weak, simple and single-minded.

I cannot say that Firefox is perfect or anything, it's just "ok". but for todays standard it's a lot.

well, but do what you want. /end of rage

Chrome does everything Firefox can, except faster. This includes extensions - many of Firefox's are also available for Chrome.

If I could get Adblock, Gestures, RSFind on Chrome, I'd probably switch. But I really need those addons. Especially Adblock, and Privoxy isn't an acceptable alternative.
So FF it is.

Well, you can't praise iPods more than other MP3 players, can you?
Besides, how many ways are there to implement Private/Incognito mode? I understand Chrome has an option for it in the link context menu, but I don't see how that qualifies as a better implementation. I'm sure I could probably add that option to the context menu myself in a few minutes (if an addon for it doesn't exist already).

As for other features:
I've been using the address bar as a search bar for about 7 years, ever since I switched from Opera to FF (which is a feature both browsers had).

The sheer amount of addons for Firefox is staggering. Every time I thought to myself "if there is an addon that can do X, it would be great" I went on to the addon site and found just that. Sure it makes FF bulky, but browsing without ads alone is enough for me to stick with it.

I'm not interested in the Incognito mode so many chrome enthusiasts seem to boast. This is because I have my own computer and even if one was to find that I've been looking at porn...I wouldn't really care. "You've been looking at porn!?""Yeah, and?"

I've used Chrome a fair bit, it's...too simple. I don't like it. I don't care for the style. I'll stick to Firefox. More add-on's and in my two years of use it has never crashed on me. Chrome crashed twice within the first month of trying to transition into it.
