Poll: So I just saw Cowboys and Aliens...

After seeing this moive (which is not as bad as Movie Bob said), I got an idea.

RDR should add an aliens DLC pack. I think it would be pretty interesting and I am also looking for another reason to play this game since the Undead Nightmare pack.

I mean I didn't really think it out, but if you saw the movie it's easier to think things out. However I guess they could start off with people mysteriously disappearing, so JOHN Marston starts investigating things here's a rumor from the grave digger that he saw aliens or something. John obviously calls bullshit but still checks out the idea. And then finds out about the aliens hiding out in somewhere in the desert then I don't know If you can come up with anything else let me know. All I know is that there needs to be an alien guns like the thunder gun from Black Ops, and a ray gun that explodes a person.

Didn't know about that either. I haven't been keeping up with movies for a while now, and only watch an hour or so of TV a week (Breaking Bad, maybe more if I watch a baseball game) so I don't see the previews. Smurfs, though. It's less surprising that they make a movie out of that, really.

Cowboys fighting Aliens is at least an arguably interesting premise with some room to have fun with. Here's the trailer for the Smurfs assuming you haven't looked it up:


I counted six smurf puns. I can't imagine anyone seeing this movie and hearing a joke they haven't heard of or a slapstick they haven't seen. It's a carbon copy of every other 'cute animals meet humans' movie out there from 'Mr. Popper's Penguins' to 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', with almost no effort put forth. I'd rather go into Cowboys and Aliens and not know what to expect than that drivel.

I love Red Dead Redemption and would gladly welcome another huge DLC add-on like Undead Nightmare. I think the problem one would run into would be the "been there, done that...but with aliens" factor. How much different could the gameplay be at this point considering what was done with Undead Nightmare (low-ammo, keeping towns saved, took out the shops, no hunting) so I think it'd feel more like a MOD than anything. Still, that being said, I'd buy it.

That sounds pretty cool, although I'd suggest a mechanical hovering horse-like thing.

I didn't think the movie was bad, but I definitely think it could have been a lot better. An alien dlc in RDR would be pretty cool, but I don't think I would buy it. There are too many games coming out in the next few months that I want, so I am saving my money.
