So I assume the traits of each class are representative of different worlds.
For example, a thief would be cunning and streetwise, and in this world, could become a successful businessman.
Mages would have knowledge and intellect on their side, and could become doctors or teachers.
Fighters would be confident and brave, and could become, say, firefighters or figureheads of some descript.
What about cross-classing? a Warrior-Thief could become, say , an Actor.
as for myself? well, I'm no warrior, and I lack dexterity. so Mage it is, going by the in depth description I just concocted for a simple thread reply.

Rogue, I tend to like the stealthier classes. They are funner than just standing back and firing or being a beast monster man
Warrior because then I can go around fighting evil with a crapton of armor, plus every party needs a good tank
I'd go for Rogue, since in my mind, I'd be more able to adapt. Depending on the civilization, a warrior could be loved or hated. Also, I like things simple, so memorizing spells and whatnot would suck.
Rogues would probably be hated either way, but only if people figure out who the Rogues are. >_>
