I dropped out of college and now I'm staring down the barrel of my high school reunion. (The Big 20, even!) I'm really lucky to be able to say that I have a job where I am happy and successful. Screw rich and famous! Happy and successful is the way to go, and remember that your ability to achieve the first is directly related to your ability to correctly define the second.

I'm going to get in trouble for this post but...

I'm looking forward to having less err... "uneducated youngins" (I phrased that as nicely as I could) with err... "unique" ideas (again, phrased nicely) and opinions that would make the majority of sensible adults flinch in horror, posting on the many internet forums that are worth reading these days (which, sadly, includes The Escapist). My hope is that the quality of posters remains high, without being diluted by "them".

Now you young whippersnappers, stop posting on my internet and go do some damn homework!

Well...in the far away civilisation known as Ingerland, we have none of these strange 'middle schools'. But I'm going into my year 10, 10th grade, sophmore year or whatever you want to call it

What's the English equivalent to those options?

I'm 15, so I guess high school?

Ugh, as Rex put so well: The only reason I go to school is because if I don't, my mum will get locked up. And I like my mum.

Bloody blackmailing government...*mumble mumble*

Do your homework.
Seriously.
Stop reading this and do it.
It makes more difference than you'd think.
Now..
GO!

18, just finished school exams and am going to uni next year after a gap year. I have no idea what that translates to in crazy American speak.

Do your homework.
Seriously.
Stop reading this and do it.

Now..
GO!
Aheheheh. Only if you're not naturally gifted. I was procrastinating and copying homework up until the final exam date, straight Bs in my A-levels. Oh hell, I could have done better, but I made it into the uni of my choice for the course of my choice, so I'm happy with that. Why put in extra, wasted effort for no extra reward?

11 weeks into a 3 year bach of popular music and performance. My course is great, its really hands on. Example: We have to do gigs for assesment.

After I finish im gonna look at performing full time (the dream), teaching, composing, arranging or directing

I went straight through year 10 not doing any homework at home at all. It was either done hurridely at the beginning of the lesson, or an excuse made, or done in the 20 minutes I had before I got to school.

However, I didn't even do that for one teacher, and she complained, which led to all kinds of annoying shit. Now I hate school more than I even did then.

My grades came out fine, by the way, almost all B's.

Everyone was just pissed because it used to be all A's.

September marks my last semester before I have my BA in Communications, hooray. And the best part of it is that I managed to squish my schedule so that I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My school is done the same way and it actually works out very well, especially when it comes to homework. We have recently implememnted this system where our classes are shorter and if you are passing all your classes you get an extra half hour of "lunch" while everyone else gets thrown into study hall. All I have to say is that its really depressing when only 200 of the 2000 students are out during this extra time, and we're one of the better schools in the region.

Also wild guess here, math isn't your cup of tea is it?

Really pumped. I'm taking an engineering course along with AP History, Trig, and Physics. Only problem is that I suspect most of the school administrators graduated from Soviet Russia School For Administration(In Soviet Russia, Degree possesses you!). So far, they've yet to find a way to bus everyone in, they've squandered all our money on a security fence(does nothing during a school shooting, just makes it harder to get out). Fortunately, I gots me some great teachers and can't wait to get back into the swing of things.

I am going into my last year of high school and I am pretty excited. I fell weird though because most people I talk to are all about their last year being all slack courses and a good time. When I took AP Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry most of my friends called me insane. Even though between my job and the hard courses I am hoping this year will be fun and the best one yet.

The year after that me and a bunch of friends are all moving into a house in Fredricton to go to University and I am pumped for that as well.

I'm Australian, so we're more than half-way through our school year. Still, I'm in high school.
Yep, same. Year 10 to be more specific.

Oh, and that stupid American marking grade, you know, the 'A's, 'B's, ect, that's leaking into our system... gah, I prefer percentages myself. More accurate.
