Recently I have been going over my old games, and the final one on my list was BioShock. Once I had finished the game I wondered, like so many before me, what it would be like to have plasmids, and that brought me back to the beggining of the game. (I'll get to that later)

So, I was thinking of different scenarios where me acquiring ADAM (The gene altering stuff that makes plasmids) was possible and one popped into my head, and it caused me to rethink a lot of things. This is that scenario...

You are walking down the street, it's been a good day, the sun is out, your just walking around minding your own business, and then, suddenly a man appears from no where! A tall man with his hat pulled low, a long trenchcoat, and one hand slipped into a pocket, the other is by his side, slowly clenching, unclenching. He speaks to you in a deep serious voice "I got something for you..." he pulls out a large syringe, it's full of a red glowing substance, it reeks of danger, "... This, my friend, is a very special liquid, what it does is alter your DNA, so you can have anything in the world. You want fire? You got fire! I'm offering it to you free, what do you say?"

What do you do? Do you trust the stranger, and plunge a syringe into your arm, hoping for the best? Do you scoff and walk away? Do you flip a coin? What do YOU do?

EXTRA: In relation to the start, when I remembered the beggining of the game, our hero bravely (or stupidly) sticks a needle, that has been lieing on the floor, straight into his arm on the say-so or someone he just met, and that memory is what brought me to this scenario.

Take the Needle from him, and, as they say in the country, 'get the flock outta there'

i would then approach a scientist and have him deduce what to do.

Depends, this stranger, does he say...
Would you kindly?

Cause if he did, I don't think I'd have a choice. Otherwise, further analysis is needed.

Anyone who says they would realistically and literally take some random needle from a shady ass guy on the street in REAL LIFE is either a fucking liar or a drug addict with nothing to lose. Especially when he claims that altering your DNA is somehow going to allow you to start fires with your magical mind powers.

I surely can't be the only one whose run into drug dealers on the streets. You just decline and walk away calmly and let them carry on.

Do I trust a strange man in a trenchcoat to give me an injection of red liquid with the promise of letting me cast lightning, fire, and other inhuman powers?

Clearly this man is on the up and up and not suspicious in the slightest.

Where I live that happens rather frequently, so I'm going to stick with the "kick him in the balls and run," option.

Take it...run a quick experiment on the annoying ass dogs that my neighbors have, and make my decision based on that.

Let me take a moment to ponder this, as there is clearly nothing suspicious about this scenario...
I don't know..there's 3 ways this can go down.
1. The guy is super high and obviously the drugs he's taking are awesome.
2. It does work.
3. He's lying to you, in which case nothing happens to you, or it's some other drug.
Of course, considering he'd be a super drug dealer, I'd be somewhat skeptical.

I went with accepting the needle and then analyze it. But I'm going too add in that i kill him taking the contents hidden within his jacket and analyze all the content of each. Then combine them all to make a super potion.

I'd take it, run away, and find out what it is by giving some to a junkie at my school.

If it's good, I take it, if not the junkie can have it.

The reason for this was because, most of my friends who have played BioShock used to say they would do anything for plasmids, and I wanted to put it into a realistic situation and see if other people felt the same way.

I wouldn't.
If a stranger walks up to you and asks: "I have a drug here that will make you hear color and smell sound... it's called crack."
Odds are you wouldn't take it and have you seen what ADAM did to Rapture? It destroyed the damn city. So go ahead and take the magic drug that makes you shoot fire out of your hands I won't become a splicer thank you very much,

I'd run like a little *****. The needle probably has AIDS in it. A big old needle full of AIDS.

I am 12 years old and what is this?

Seriously, if this guy is tripping balls enough to see lightning and fire coming out of his own hands, i'd want to try some of this SUPER LSD

To the people talking about drug dealers: Have you actually been approached by drug dealers? That seems like bad buisness for something illegal. ("Jeez, I'll take your free cocaine if you get off my back, man.")

OT: Run like the dickens, he's a man of LUNACY!
