You never played the old Lego Racer game?

On the later levels, that game was hard as fuck..

Then again I was like 5 years old at the time.
i did, fun as hell, stil not that hard, beat that guy at least 3 times, controller pack was low quality..

Platformer should definitely be there.
Sports games should be, potentially separate from racing games.
Simulation could be another I spose.
Puzzle games.

There's probably more, though platformers are the main gap in your list. Also I don't know if I see a point in separating RPG and JRPG, regardless of the differences they do have, if turn based vs real time was your intended meaning then I suggest putting that, as not all JRPGs are turn based and I would assume there are WRPGs that are.

On topic.
I always had trouble playing Abe's Odyssey, and as for easy... well I suck at most stuff but Spore, Mario Galaxy and the Pokemon games tend to be pretty easy to beat the main story, though I can't say I've beaten them all 100%.
thats true, i forgot those.

i apologise for that, but i guess you can just mention those in a reply, sorry about that
Not a worry, its not a big deal or anything, its just easy for me to spot since platformers are one of my favourite genres, ever since Spyro.

Which brings to mind the fact that whilst I was good at the normal platforming/collecting parts of Spyro games, I never could do much with the boss battles and flight levels. But as I've said, I kinda suck at games :p

This man speaks the truth. When I was 5 I actually made a pledge never to play the game again because it was just too hard...until about six months later when I went back to it.
The sequel on the other hand is easy. And very different.

On the subject of the Travellers' Tales Lego games: Have you ever completed one 100%? THAT takes some doing. (and no, I haven't either)

Hardest game I've ever played, no question: Devil May Cry 3.

Easiest(that I remember right now): CoD4, too easy on veteran
Ugh I found COD4 veteran damn bloody hard. Took me a long time to beat it, but I don't think I've ever been so satisfied as seeing that 1000Gp on my live account...

MW2 was waaay easier, but spec ops on Vet kicks my ass.
Me and a friend did all the Ops with 3 stars except echo^^ (damn juggernauts...)
You and your friend are fucking hardcore.

Me and my buddy have only gotten halfway through so far, those juggernauts are so... damn... hard....

Starcraft would be the hardest game I've played. Though, I suck at RTS games even though I love them, hence why I play so little of them..

I don't know what the easiest game I've played is though. I've played plenty.

Hardest was Commandos 3. I never got past the second level, and that was after about 2 hours.
Hm, really? I completed that pretty okay, though I do admit it was a damnsight harder than Comm2 for all the wrong reasons.

Easiest.. hm, would have to be Blue Dragon. What a waste of my goddamn life. Seriously.
Hardest: CoD4 Veteran speedrun. Yeah, really.
doing a speed run on anygame with broken ai is gonna be hard really

based on games played in 09
easiest would be mw2 on veteran (5 hours is pathetic on the hardest difficulty expecially when i hadnt played through the game on an easier difficulty)
hardest probably has to be demons souls but it has more of an annoyance factor than difficulty since you have to go through sections you spent time on already

Easiest is LBP. Never gave me much trouble.

Hardest I've played in a while(not ever, though) is New Super Mario Brother Wii. Four players bouncing off of each other in the space of about a phone booth does not add any security to the fact that the Mario Bros can take a brutally small amount of damage. I guess Nintendo never got the memo that they don't get a quarter every time we lose anymore. Home game consoles must not mean the same thing to Nintendo as they do to the rest of the industry.

specs ops are easy as hell if you dont rush and remember where things are coming from

the only truely difficulty one is the explosives only to kill the juggs without using the glitch to take them down

Definitely. I don't have a game in mind at the moment, but I'm sure platformers are one of the hardest genres. If there's no manual save system, then playing a difficult level can take weeks...

To stick to the question was the easiest and hardest.

Kingdom hearts 2 - it was easy, like really easy, like REALLY easy, but sephiroth was a douche!

Easiest: every game I beat in a week (which is 95% of all games that came out this year.... this decade..... that came out.)

Hardest: I have not tried demon's souls but that sounds hard, I don't know if I ever played a game that was hard as in terms as the hardest......

Easy games that mean anything at all: Kingdom Hearts 2 (and I took it upon myself to not beat Sephiroth by spamming Reflect)

Hardest games: IWBTG (still unfinished), Ninja Gaiden 2, Devil May Cry 3 (maybe not so bad), and Touhou

Easiest: Dark Messiah on normal, fun but easy.

Hardest: Devil May Cry: Dante Must Die mode. Jesus christ.

Yoshi's Story was the easiest game I played, I finished it in one afternoon when I was eight without intending to.

There's not one genre I find particularly hard. I mean, some FPS's are so hard they make you want to claw your own eyes out, but others are so easy you could play them with one hand - same goes for RTS's and RPG's.

Easiest game I've ever played? Probably Tekken 5. Only thing that comes to mind right now where I never died/lost even once. (But I've been playing the Tekken series since I was five so I knew character move sets off by heart.)

Fallout 3 was also pretty easy. On the hardest difficulty, the only thing that came close to being a threat was Feral Ghoul Reavers, because they could take so much damage that my weapons would degrade or run out of ammo before I killed them, and even then I don't think I ever died to one.

Hardest game I've ever played? I don't know. Possibly old school Prince of Persia, but I was playing that when I was just a little kid, which makes a difference. The only other one that I can think of is Far Cry 2, not because I died a lot, necessarily, but because the first time I played it (on the hardest setting), the NPCs could absorb so many bullets that I wasn't even sure I was hitting them.
