Apparently this javelin glitch has a lot of gamers fumed with anger. (Not as bad as a long distance Akimbo 1887) So when the cheater themselves get banned for doing it, they think they deserve a warning before being banned. Apperently this gamer thought that and failed to read the contact.
Lots of those idiots claim that they are unaware, but that is only because they don't read the ToS or w/e. As for THAT guy, well too bad, it doesn't matter if you were aware of it or not. Exploiting the glitch online is an offense and deserves a banning, players should know better than to use a glitch like that to their advantage, he has no case I say.

I think it should be a one strike thing. Just to entertain them 'not knowing' because i dare say there will be a few who genuinely didn't. I think the suspension is necessary to show them that people who f**k with the game will get f****d themselves

It's pretty damn hard not to miss the Code of Conduct and the Terms of Use. Heck, I remember when I recovered my gamertag and it appeared. Just like when you sign up to it.

The rules are pretty obvious enough anyway, one of them being don't be a douche by cheating, modding consoles or abusing glitches.

Well if you're too stupid and don't have any common sense then sure you should only get a warning but only if youre as Yatzee says it PANTS ON HEAD RETARDED!

These people fail law. You don't have to be aware of a rule or a law in order to be punished for disobeying it, especially since a) private companies can do whatever the hell they want with their property and b) it's common sense. Just because someone doesn't know that something they did was illegal or that it breaks a rule doesn't mean they get away with their actions.

it would have been nice to give them a warning but a temporary ban should be no big deal

well, when you say second chance, I believe they already get a couple chances built in.

After all, nobody gets outright banned for the first time use of the Javelin glitch, just like a 48 hour suspension.

So, what do you mean by "second chance"

Exploiting glitches to get points is dumb. Exploiting being awesome to get points is fun.

Well why would they have been caught if they only did it on accident. I mean that usually only repeat offenders will give people enough time to report the glitchers. But yes I love how their suspending people for it.

I can't blame them for not reading the EULA or whatever it is, who the fuck reads those things anyway? That's like reading the manual for your microwave. You put stuff in it, push buttons, and it gets hot, and you try to keep your cat out of it while its running. Basic stuff.

What I CAN blame them for is not using common sense, Most people don't read the EULA, but those with a functional brain should know that cheating like a douche-bag will probably have ramifications.

The thing is about EULA's is that you are either too smart to need it, or too dumb to understand it, there is NO middle ground where it is actually helpful.

You can quote me on that :)

All I can say to this is What. A. Tard. Doesn't have an ounce of common sense in him, does he? He should be banned, no coming back.

Someone who knowingly exploits an in-game glitch to give himself a distinct advantage over everyone else wants a second chance to play the game?

How about No.

I totally agree with that statement.

Honestly, as much as I hate cheaters, glitchers are a different beast who are simply ignorant people who figure "if it's something you can do in the game, it must be legit." I'd say a suspension with a temporary ban would be closer to the mark because it makes it irrefutably clear that, no, this is not the case. Permaban on repeat offenses.

Well, on a repeat offense, they should be fucking shot. I mean, to be hit with a temp ban, then do it again? Seriously, we should all piss on their ashes.

But for a first time offense, they DO get a temp (very short about 48 hour) ban, that DOES irrefutably make that point. Once they do it again after that, the damn gloves come off.

No. Its his own fault for cheating which kind of breaks the terms and conditions. He can't argue against it, because he agreed to them, even if he didn't read them.

Plus, you really need to be desperate to want to cheat in an online game.
