these guys are grievers, just trying to break the rules to give themselves an advantage, ban them, never bring them back. It's not like they can't just make another profile

The thing is about EULA's is that you are either too smart to need it, or too dumb to understand it, there is NO middle ground where it is actually helpful.

You can quote me on that :)
And quote I did. It's impossible for me to agree more. If you go to a mans house, and act like a dick, don't be surprised if you get thrown out. I didn't know what the javelin glitch was, as I don't have MW2, but there's no way in hell anyone can think of that as a feature, instead of blatant abuse.

What a total idiot. I've never completely read every single law in fine detail yet I still know not to murder, not to steal, not to rape and pillage. Know why? I have functioning brain cells. I wouldn't do 100mph down a 30mph road and then say "Well sorry officer, I didn't read the rules on speeding, I mean, who reads those anyway?" This is the same kind of thing.

Javelin glitchers drive me insane. I mean, is it even fun for them? Personally I love looking at the scores post match if I've done well. Gives me a genuine sense that I did something. If it's a low kill to death, I know I need to improve. Simple.

Cheap tactics like this throw away all the developer's hard work.

So it's basically a poor-man's Martyrdom? It's annoying and still glitch abusing, so the ban is deserved, but I don't hate it as much as the Akimbo 1887/Ranger, and those aren't even glitches.

I can't say I've actually encountered this glitch before. Must be because people prefer to kill people before they die, which sounds like quite a decent plan.

How hard did they really work if they left and are leaving such a painfull glitch in the game ?

I don't play a game for the leaderbaords, so I don't really care.
This glitch sure as hell doesn't get you anywhere near the leaderboards. It actually ruins your K/D because you end up dying so much. That's another reason people that abuse it are retarded. It doesn't help you in any way. It's only purpose is to piss off other players.

Permanent bans for all of them. Warnings are to be used for honest mistakes. If you use this glitch you are actively seeking to ruin the experience of other players. That's intolerable.
I actually had no idea what this glitch is because I don't play CoD. What does it really do?

Meh, the game is already an unbalanced clusterfuck just like WaW and COD4. So if he wants to play that piece of shit; let him.

Honestly, as much as I hate cheaters, glitchers are a different beast who are simply ignorant people who figure "if it's something you can do in the game, it must be legit." I'd say a suspension with a temporary ban would be closer to the mark because it makes it irrefutably clear that, no, this is not the case. Permaban on repeat offenses.
In spite of the fact that the reporting feature in XBL actually mentions exploitation of glitches explicitly?

Personally, I hadn't encountered the problem until I found out that it was a suspendable offense. That night, there was a plague of exploit using asshats. I figured it was my civic duty to report each and every person I saw using it, my team or not. When a group of my friends hopped on and discussed using the glitch themselves, I politely informed them it was a suspendable offense. No one I know has been banned as a result.

I also gave people the common courtesy to warn them on the first instance where I saw them exploiting. Those who refused to listen were reported.

It basically causes the javelin round to explode in the tube when you are killed. The area of effect on the weapon is absolutely enormous and it explodes instantly. Most commonly you see it used on domination games where simply running into a capture point again and again to be shot kills all of the defenders on each run.

The trouble is, the way the game is designed, it's generally impossible to actually survive an encounter with a glitch user. You have the option to shoot them and die in the inevitable blast, or not shoot them and get stabbed in the face.

You glitch to the expense of other players, you deserve to get banned!

Also, IW, don't let this kind of shit get into the game in the first place!

Does anybody else remember when people played thing like Half-Life Tribes and Quake where if you found a glitch everybody exploited it and it became a key part of multiplayer?

I miss those days.

Meh, IW fucked up, again. It's not the players fault that they are taking advantage of it.

up until now i never realized that glitching would or could get you banned, i only thought it was offensive language, bad gamertags, bad communication, modding ect..
i always thought that glitching was part of the game and therefore not a bannable offense because its not modding
i know you put out warning on twitter and other media outlets
but i did not see a post on Xbox Live saying that you were going to start banning for the javelin glitch
i know you should just know not to glitch
could you please warn all of us at once with a sign on message stating what will happen and warn us

it would help out alot
thank you for your time

Right there he just lost all credability.
He knew about the warnings, he knows he's not supposed to glitch, and yet he did it anyway.

Saying XBL should have warned him not to do it is just a cheap tactic to try and get unbanned.

I'm glad their getting what they deserve, the pricks.

They cheated.
They got caught.
Now they are being punished for it.
Its even worse that they were caught and tried to claim ignorance WHEN YOU HAFT TO AGREE TO THE TERMS OF USE BEFORE YOU CAN PLAY.

You said it yourself, "TAKING ADVANTAGE." They are guilty of taking advantage of the system, that is the reason there is a clause about this in the Terms of Use.

Ignorance is never an excuse. Whether they knew it or not they broke the rules and are subject to the penalty.

They wouldn't be complaining if they just played the game it was meant to be played.

This is a very difficult thing to do "accidently"

Therefor it is deliberate abuse, and they should be banned without warning
