These people fail law. You don't have to be aware of a rule or a law in order to be punished for disobeying it, especially since a) private companies can do whatever the hell they want with their property and b) it's common sense. Just because someone doesn't know that something they did was illegal or that it breaks a rule doesn't mean they get away with their actions.
Yeah, my thought exactly! It's like saying that someone who wasn't aware that murder is illegal should get away with killing someone.

Nope, people that exploit glitches shouldn't be given a second chance.
Those that do it know it pisses people off, should know it's against the contract & should know that it's bloody annoying to be on the receiving end of it constantly throughout an online game.
Ignorance can't really be an excuse; surely they thought that the game shouldn't do that (or at least thought of it from another's point of view...)
In my opinion, they don't have a case and should just accept it.

I can't blame them for not reading the EULA or whatever it is, who the fuck reads those things anyway? That's like reading the manual for your microwave. You put stuff in it, push buttons, and it gets hot, and you try to keep your cat out of it while its running. Basic stuff.

What I CAN blame them for is not using common sense, Most people don't read the EULA, but those with a functional brain should know that cheating like a douche-bag will probably have ramifications.

The thing is about EULA's is that you are either too smart to need it, or too dumb to understand it, there is NO middle ground where it is actually helpful.

You can quote me on that :)
Agreed. The ToS are mostly there for legal purposes, I'm sure they're aware that hardly anyone reads them. And it's not a matter of them having the legal right, it's a matter of them being decent people. It'd be good for business if they gave people some leeway when they asked for it. I doubt he'd do it again if he was unbanned, so there are no downsides to doing it. They get another player, they gain some positive PR, and they have one less bitter glitcher.

People say "it's common sense to know not to do this". And yeah, that's true, if you're experienced in the field of multiplayer. If that was his first multiplayer game, he would have absolutely no idea what the proper "netiquette" entails.

I voted for suspension+warning. It still pretty dirty what they did, but I don't think its deserving of a permanent ban, but if they did it again it should be perma-ban

I wish claiming ignorance of the rules even though I'd already agreed to them worked in real life.

'This glitch is really useful against campers and people boosting to get a nuke'

Also handy if you're a complete noob that has to resort to glitching or other forms of cheating to get kills.

So wait. The game developers didn't finish the game properly and they're banning people for exploiting it?

I wish someone would sue them. What a**holes.
