Look on the bright side, PS+ does come with a fair bit of free goodies and they're pretty likely to bundle 30 or 90 day trials of it with the system. Just this month I got Hitman Absolution and Kingdoms of Amalur from it, not to mention a bunch of discounted DLC and PSP titles. It easily comes out in profit for the consumer, provided you download plenty of the freebies and stuff.GroovySpecs said:Although I am a little switched off by the whole "you must have playstation plus or you can't play online" thing, it is still going to be a PS4 for me. The Wii U just doesn't have the games i want and, well, I won't get into it about the Xbox One.
From a business standpoint Sony were damn clever with rolling out PS+ how they did an giving it away with consoles and certain games.
It also means no first party season passes, and they did explain why they're charging for it now.
OT: I already have a Wii U and it's looking like a healthy line-up from now through 2014, especially with my 3DS in tow, there's so much great content for the nintendo fan/overgrown 16-bit gamer that I'd be able to survive off it without another console with ease.
Likely gonna pick up a PS4 launch day depending on potential bundles and availability, as well as maybe a few more details about how your account transfers and connectivity with the Vita and such. Looking forward to a lot of the first party content, and the third party content shown is pretty impressive stuff too. It'll be a very nice core machine for my game area alongside the Wii U.
