Poll: So what console is better for gaming, 360 or PS3?

I am the only person who voted wii. Also depends on what games you are into, In my opinion the 360 has a slightly better online setup and is a bit smoother for online multiplayer, but the PS3 has a lot of better singleplayer games and exclusives.

The PS3 technically has better hardware, but the real answer is dependent on which platform has more exclusives that interest you. Otherwise you're not going to notice a difference.

Pretty much solved here. Even as a person who does not have a PS3, I would say it has the better exclusives, but that is something you have to decide for yourself. Gears of War vs. Uncharted, Halo vs. God of War, etc.

I had a PS3 and then I got an xbox, the xbox has better exclusives, more visually appealing, MUCH more lively community and it is easier to navigate in my opinion.

Easier to navigate? With the new dashboard? With a controller? Thanks I needed a good laugh.

On a serious note, why do people both hate exclusives and they praise consoles for having them? Also, I find the old 360 design to be superior to the new one. The new one is still more attractive than the PS3 Slim though.

I like Halo and I prefer the 360 controller (the Duke controller was the best of all time though). But PS3 has Demons Souls.

If you ask this question it would be better to know which games you like and what you expect from a console. Have you already taken a look at the exclusives?

If you already have a PC that can run games pretty well, then go with PS3 unless all your friends play 360.

It's all kind of subjective which system is better for gaming. Some people prefer one's exclusives over the other.

Of course, playing online multiplayer on the PS3 is free so I guess that's something. Also Journey.

Friends - Mainly play PS3 or Wii. So PS3

Exclusive Game Interests -
PS3: Uncharted series, Ico + Shadow of the Colossus, Resistance series, Killzone series, Journey, Demon's Souls.
360: Halo series.
So PS3.

Multiplayer - Yes I love a good multiplayer and I have steam so again, PS3.

i say xBox if you plan on buying games to play online as xbox live is better (though you have to cought up money every month).

and i enjoy single player games on my ps3.

Functionally, both the 360 and the PS3 are the same. One is slightly better, but unless you have a good tv, you are not going to notice any difference.

Beyond that, find a list of exclusive games that suit you and choose accordingly.

I would decide by putting these in my hands one after the other. Unless you plan on using a wheel or a joystick most of the time.

This is why I prefer the 360 purely because the controller size is better for me, the ps3's controller is too small, gives me hand cramps.
To be honest though I wish they still did that giant sized original xbox controller, it fit my hands perfectly

Personal preference really, I prefer the 360 controller, the thing was made to fit my hands. The PS3 feels much more stable though, doesn't sound like a jet engine and I like its default interface much better. As far as games go I prefer the lineup for PS3, plus you get the PS1 classics, and I guess the PS2 ones, but the only one there worth it (in my opinion) is Persona 3. It seems like the new generation of consoles will be out fairly soon though, so you might want to wait, but otherwise my vote goes to PS3 because it has far more games for it that I enjoy, but that obviously changes from person to person

I have 360, PS3, Wii, and PC. PS3 is the best of them all (except maybe PC idk 2 totally different experiences.) PS3 has better interface, better exclusives, better controller, less retarded online community, free online, less run-on sentences. TBH I regret buying the 360 because I still have no games for it (except Lost Odyssey) since I buy all cross-platform games for PS3
