I hate Electronic Arts because they give tons of marketing to their typical games like the Fifa series but as soon as they get really good games like Strangers Wrath or Dead Space they don't give them any marketing at all.

I HATE EA for not making a Future Cop: L.A.P.D. sequel or remake.
I mean really, that's so evil, actually selling a decent game like that, and not giving us a modern installment.

Just their general incompetence. Never have enough servers for online games, they are always poorly maintained. Logging onto EA accounts has always been buggy.

Activision may be a milking machine(EA is too but mostly from Sports franchises) but at least their machine doesn't break down constantly or force you to have a completely separate account from Xbox or PSN that is buggy up the wazoo.

I don't have a problem with most of their games it is just all the extra EA shit that always drags it down.

Someone made a handy chart for a Ubi vs EA vs Act thread which summed up how I feel about all 3 companies with Ubisoft being the most dickish(See: "bitching" PC gamers), EA being the most incompetent, and Activistion falling in between the two.

I don't hate EA. They're just another publisher/developer to me with some great games, and a few meh ones. They have some really bad PR and a few bad choices, but on the whole they're one the better companies out there that always strives to put out some high quality games.

i picked all of the above, but origin was the last straw for me, the other stuff just bothered me but i was still buying games made by ea if they looked fun...now i wont buy

also ea and the other big studios are gigantic dinosaurs in an economy/business that's increasingly being taken by small mammals
-ea has to spend massive amounts and control a lot of the game space to make enough money to support itself, meanwhile small developers can use a premade game engine to design their game and make their money back with a much smaller amount of sales. EA would love to do this but they would need to completely change what they are...which they wont/cant do so they are stuck in this loop of conquering game studios and plundering them for good ideas/sellable games before moving on to the next

I don't mind DLC as long as it's not important to the story (unlike Deus Ex 3's Missing Link DLC), and I haven't noticed any plotholes in EA games because of my not purchasing the DLC, so I don't care just yet.

My main problem is the treatment of employees. Them programmers and testers need a damn union. Their treatment and work hours are fucking ridiculous.

I dislike the fact that EA's sports titles appeal to enough casual gamer retards who don't care about the name behind the product, that not enough people will get behind a boycott and EA can basically just respond with a "fuck you", and if would honestly not surprise me if they had done.

I would choose all of the above, but some of it's just business being business. I went with their mishandling of acquired dev teams. They give ludicrously bad demands, and when the game the studio makes flounders, they're liquidated. It's despicable.

I dont like having DLC being advertised within my games, for example the DLC seller in dragon age and mass effect 3's post credits message essentially saying 'BUY DLC!!!'. I dont like Day 1 DLC either as, while it might have been developed when the certification process was going on, I cant help but feel it can go overboard with friends telling me 'from ashes' seems like a big part of the game for story ect and the leaks suggesting the character had been cut at some point to be sold as day 1 dlc which is a shame if true because I feel like Im missing something. DLC in general is overpriced, a charater should cost at most 400 microsoft points/ £3.50 as higher than that for what little you get discourages me from buying. If it was a little cheaper I wouldnt feel like im being conned and I would actually buy something sometime. I just dont get enough to have it worthwhile either from content or enjoyment. I dont hate EA because they make some of my favourite games but I dont appreciate these practices. If I hated them I wouldnt buy their stuff and thus wouldnt be affected. Removing things important to the story isnt fair, though while im usually against cut content for DLC for obvious reasons story stuff in story heavy games simply isnt acceptable.
