*Wakes up and looks at poll results up to this point*

Well its been almost a day since ive had this up and I guess its time for me to tell you all why I had the United States as a separate poll choice.

I actually made this topic after seeing the results of the "What Religion are you?" poll in another topic and seeing how many atheists there were in the poll. I was curious as to why that was and thought it might have something to do with culture. Americans have a tradition/stereotype of being more religious than the rest of the world due to our Judeo-Christian heritage and so I am a bit disappointed in my fellow Americans if the results of this poll are accurate (granted the general culture of America is notable different in different regions such as New England, the South, Midwest, etc. its still a moot point given the amount of people on this forum from the United States.)

Now admittedly it would be a gross over-generalization to say that all of Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. have the same culture but the my theory was that most of the people on this forum would be from Europe or maybe Australia where the perception at least is that atheism is more prevalent but as you can see that is not the case according to the results of this poll. Besides there were not enough slots for poll choices.

Granted this poll was not done scientifically so it cannot be considered entirely accurate but it is enough to satisfy my curiosity on the subject.

Well ill keep this poll open for anyone else who is interested, maybe we will get a surge of Aussies or Europeans that make me reconsider my initial impression here but I doubt it.

Thank you all for helping to satisfy my curiosity on this, wasn't the result I was hoping for but hey you don't always get what you want.

I live in Antartica. Where's my option?
Already asked that question a few pages ago...The OP was unresponsive. You know what to do. I'll get the rocket launchers and penguin soldiers.
Fine I'll get the Polar bears and the attack choppers.

Buggers, eh? Sometimes I'm afraid you'll just have to face the truth. Wake up and smell the ashes.

Has no one else noticed this is wrong? St. Patricks day is associated with Ireland, St. Andrews day is associated with Scotland.
Oh. Awfully sorry. I should have known that. Yet another reason why I'm not allowed to make that joke

To the right of South America, and below Europe. If you hit Russia you've gone to far.
Georgie did hit Russia not long ago. It wasn't long until they learned that it was noe a very good idea to mess with Russia, though

currently, i'm living in bumfuck illinois. i miss the pacific northwest like crazy.
You can always tell the difference between native Irishmen and Irish Americans by how much they appreciate the country. Americans with vague ancestral connections get all the glory of being Irish, without having to live in a second-rate economy under a corrupt, incompetent government.

But it's mostly the fact that drinking and bitching are Ireland's two most cherished national hobbies.
