Ya I just finished reading it, and I thought it was freaking awesome. Hilarious, but the comedy certainly doesn't get in the way of the story. The story is still totally interesting and well thought out. The whole idea of writing a story about games like WOW from the perspective of an aggrevated suicidal NPC was brilliant.
That being said, I actually don't read many novels at all unless it's an assignment or something, and if I start one, I usually lose interest a couple chapters in. So you could say I don't really have a clue what a truly good novel is like. But Mogworld was witty, hysterical, and exciting (for the amount of "excitement" it goes for) enough to keep my undependable interest until the end and of course left me wanting a whole lot more.
Two nerdy undead thumbs up for Yahtzee's first published novel.
P.S. ok there's already been at least one thread about this but the one i saw was started by a guy who was only half way through it, and more people will have had time to read it by now so shut up.... Also mine is a poll.
