Poll: So who's getting the other FF13 game you know the Versus one

Yes definitely.

I'm going to steer away from the crowd who thinks it's cool to hate everything and say I like the Final Fantasy series.

The only one I've played that has disappointed me was XII (and aside from XI Online and Tactics A2 I've played them all) and I look forward to XIII and XIII Versus.

I look forward more to Versus than XIII itself to be honest. Action game made by the team behind Kingdom Hearts? yes please!

Yes I know I sound like a fanboy... I don't care. I like what I want. =P

FF13 is, apparently, as linear as a piece of string (few towns, minimal NPC interaction) with dull combat. No idea about the story quality though.

13 Versus is promised to have, among many other things, real airships again.

Also the story is apparently the fucking Cold War.

Don't forget that its employing the same combat system ( or one very much like it) that is used in the 2 Kingdom Hearts console games(RE:COM doesn't count). Its sorta the reason why we don't have a KH3 yet because the bulk of the KH combat and creative team are/were tied up in Versus.

Holy crap I hope this is true. I freakin loved the combat in KH2, It was like playing a movie. But it never got old.(except fighting sephiroth, the dying got old in that really quick)

OT: I live with a friend and we have a system worked out. I 'm getting Versus, since I'm better at action games, and he' getting Agito since he's better at classic jrpg's. I can't wait.......

Agito is also an action game.

As for the combat in KH2, it really needed more difficulty (still fun though).

Agito is an action game, but I know that much is turn based. I just don't know if versus is straight up action or also tun based.

Umm... no. They take place in the same universe, but different worlds.
Anyways I would buy this game and all, but I don't have a PS3, or any next generation consoles, so probably won't

Well I preordered thirteen back in Dec, but I know little to nothing about Versus so I dont think im going to go out and preorder or buy it right away. If it's like KH combat it may be fun, since I loved both KH's. Im just going to wait till im sure the stories are different and what not. I dont want to essentially play the same game twice, just with different combat.

FF vs 13 has nothing to do with 13 for whoever thinks that. Its just a SE publicity thing to keep FF13,FFvs13 and that FF aigo or whatever it is under a sort of "trilogy" banner. Versus is headed by a completely different team then FF13

No they aren't, that is completely false. They're set within the same universe but presumably different worlds or something, and the plots are completely sperate. There is absolutely no need to buy both as far as understanding the story is concerned. Do some research next time.

And as far as I'm aware, this one is PS3-exclusive. Either that or 360-exclusive, I know there were two companion titles with Versus being one of them, and each is unique to one console. So either way, I probably won't be getting this. I'll be getting the main game though, definitely

I want FF versus XIII rather than FFXIII... the fact they are keeping it exclusively for the PS3 annoys me to say the least.

I mean the names are better too, they dont have stupid hippy names like "Lightning" and "Snow"...

i dont see any reason why the plots of the three games cant be linked. they could have pulled some job like the one in LoZ: seasons/ages (apologies for the obscure reference) and have some code system or direct data transfer. admittedly it would require lots of developement time, but as long as this opus has been in production, the least they could do is have some easter eggs.
