I'm pretty sure it's a scam. I have had similar phone calls from a similar sounding guy. They never got past the first stage because either I will tell them I run an IT company and know more about it than they do, or my grandmother will answer and say "Not interested, goodbye".

Which is (quite scary actually) more people than you'd think.
