Poll: So you AND your pet are drowning...

So you and your pet are drowning in a random whirlpool. Why? Cause everyone seems to be doing it lately.. You can't possibly get yourself out because you have lost the ability/were never able to swim(ruling out that scape goat).
A random stranger comes across you and decides to save one of you, but he can only save one of you and seems to have trouble choosing who to save.
Who should he save? You or your pet?

Also, I'm sorry but these threads are just getting too repetitive. Making various combinations of drowning/pet/you/person/save can only go so far.

The stranger will jump in to save one of us, of whom, I'm not sure,
but I will grab this stranger at the last minute drowning them along with us.
Because if I'm going down, I'm taking as many people as I can with me...

That thread implied it was the stranger's pet. These threads were getting repetitive yes with the second one, I was merely satirizing them because I thought this bemusing.
