There is no best, but my personal favourite genres are metal and instrumental rock. And I don't have any specific favourite song/lyrics.

AT contains Muse, the White Stripes, Paramore, RATM and the old MCR. What is there not to like?

Although MCR is generally an acquired taste, especially their old material.

Assuming your "Classical" category is the usual broad-term for all um... RenaissanceBaroqueClassicalRomanticImpressionistContemporary music, it's definitely the best. Haha. With so many sub-genres, how do you go wrong? The only way you could hate it is if you didn't understand the architecture (or increasingly, the lack thereof <3).

If your talking JUST about lyrics, then I'd say metal or alternative.
If your talking about the music itself - there is no 'best' music genre.
I love metal, but that doesn't make it TEH BEST to me, i just like it.

He was talking about the lyrics... I love metal and it's one of my favorite genres, but honestly some of the lyrics are pretty dumb.

It's funny how many people are saying there is no best genre. Metal is the best genre. There's just no best SUB-genre.

I quite like Hurracaine by Bob Dylan just for the story and 'Changes' by Tupac because it's refreshing to hear rap about getting along rather than boasting and violence.
