GDC: Today, Sony officially announced it's Motion-Sensing Controller(s), named "Move". Here's a G4 Youtube Video of it in action (with SOCOM 4!):
From what I can, it's a LOT more immersive than the Wii's motion controller, using the Playstation Eye as the main tracking device, rather than an infared connection. That means that it's more 1:1 than the Wiimote, and requires a lot less stupidity in regards to arm flailings. Not to mention it's your whole body that's being tracked, not just the infared port on the controller (Think of it as a cross between the Wii and Microsoft's Natal).
Honestly, I'm not a huge PS fan since the PS3 was released, and I'm DEFINITELY not a fan of Motions controls (I'm primarily a PC gamer). But I think Sony has really hit the mark with Move. Sony's saying that it's more dedicated to the hardcore market, hence the use of SOCOM 4 as a Move launch title.
But then there's the downside, first, you need a playstation Eye, that's 150 dollars, then you need however many Move controllers you want to play with, that's another X-dollars, then you also need the secondary Move controller, that's another X-dollars (if it's not bundled). I can see it getting very expensive, very quickly, especially if it turns out there's only one decent title in the misdt of hundreds of crappy Wii-style casual games.
