So the original iPad wasn't released last April?
Looks around a year to me.
Except that's not every year, your claim.
That's two years in a row, not enough to actually establish a pattern. To state every year and then claim "well they released one last year!!!!!" Is dishonest.
Let's take a look shall we?
Looks pretty damning to me. More annual consecutive releases than not.
I love how I mention a dishonest application and you go and demonstrate exactly that.
Besides, then you have to count multiple versions of units like the PS3, and that doesn't help your argument that Apple's doing something different.
But if you're cool with dishonesty, that's okay. That's probably why you're goalpost shifting from "every year" to "more often than not," posting a chart that actually demonstrates a decrease in frequency of product (with only a couple exceptions, hardly the big shocker it's supposed to be) releases as "damning evidence," or ignore that Sony released a PSP variation 3 years in a row, and this new one will only be a 2 year gap itself. And that's not counting superficial changes.
I stand by my original statement that the original premise here was dumb, that the original PSP as a platform was out for more than five years before the next release and complaining about the updates is silly.
But equally silly is the "Apple's worse" mentality, which primarily works only if you're willing to villify one and not the other or ignore similar behaviour.
