anyway do you ever hear a song where its sad or happy or something and then you feel a shudder run up your body. not a bad feeling but just a vibration run up your body?

Yes, it has happened to me before. Can't think of an example, but I can remember it happening.

I thought about making a really crude comment about a certain bodily function that starts with or and ends in gasm, but I think I'll pass.

TOOL's entire discography does this to me. I call them shivers, not shudders; shudder makes the music sound demented, shiver makes it sound powerful. It also isn't that their music is "sad" or "happy", it is just incredibly meaningful and impacts me in particular. Red Hot Chili Peppers does this on occasion, songs like "Hard to Concentrate"; and "Far Behind" by Candlebox has the same effect on me as TOOL's songs.

From time to time, but it's always at times where the actual name of the song is nowhere to be found.

Of course, it's a bodily response to powerful emotion. Happens all the time. Haven't you heard of shivering with excitement or ecstasy?

Yeah I get that, even if it's a song I DON'T want to like, it's my body telling me to give in to the song. I also get goosebumps as well as the shuddering.

Sometimes when my thoughts and the song combine into something awesome. Also happens when I listen to Stairway to Heaven.

Yes, I do. About 60% of the population gets this feeling, it actually has a name too, it's called "frisson". It can be induced by a certain emotion, a particular sound, vision or any other sense, but some people just get it randomly and several don't get it at all. I knew that particular lecture in my psychoacoustics class way back in the day would eventually come in handy...

Yeah, I do believe this has happened to me before but for some reason I can't think of an example. But I do know this has happened to me.

Yes, that has happened, I can't remember any specific songs that have done it, but it happens a lot. It also happens randomly...and it used to happen when I thought about brushing my teeth 0_o

Great Gig in the Sky by Pink Floyd. I've heard that song dozens of times, and it gives me shivers every time it plays.
