Poll: Space Pioneering - Would You?

Hmmmm... At first I thought I'd go without a heartbeat, but then I realized I wouldn't be able to talk to any of my friends here. I doubt we'd have internet access out there. Maybe if I got my friends from this sight to come, then I'd go.

I only have three people I think I'd want to take with me, and they'd all want to bring people, so I wouldn't take anyone. I spend large amounts of time by myself, I'd enjoy going mad.

Assuming it was just me though. If it weren't then I'd already be friends with the other people on the mission hopefully.

All the downsides will seem insignificant once I make contact with intelligent alien lifeforms. And have sex with them.

Also this. Lots of this. But through a suit or some shit so I don't get alien herpes and die.

If we can choose where we're going, then I pick the polar opposite side of the galaxy, in the hope of finding a NEGA EARTH, where everything is backwards. And it's a dyson sphere.

I'd do space travel after it was fully established (safety, constant communication, speedy travel, etc.) but not colonization and definitely not using modern or even slightly future technology.

Assuming we have the technology to make interstellar travel comparable to say crossing the Atlantic (or Pacific) on a freighter...Hell YES!

And we definitely need a few projects to do on the way because between ports travel is really really boring.

I don't know. I would probably be a bit tempted at least. I would need the specifics before I can decide. Like; What kind of benefits that would bring? Would someone else I know want to go with me? etc

Yes I would, because I've always dreamed of going to space and my life here is pretty unremarkable, so even if it's hard up there at least it will be far more interesting.

Just this. Anyone who looks up at the stars and doesn't want to see each one up close is a little bit strange in my opinion.
