Hmmmm... At first I thought I'd go without a heartbeat, but then I realized I wouldn't be able to talk to any of my friends here. I doubt we'd have internet access out there. Maybe if I got my friends from this sight to come, then I'd go.
I only have three people I think I'd want to take with me, and they'd all want to bring people, so I wouldn't take anyone. I spend large amounts of time by myself, I'd enjoy going mad.

Assuming it was just me though. If it weren't then I'd already be friends with the other people on the mission hopefully.

All the downsides will seem insignificant once I make contact with intelligent alien lifeforms. And have sex with them.
Also this. Lots of this. But through a suit or some shit so I don't get alien herpes and die.

I've made tons of friends in the Pony Chat, and I wouldn't go if it meant I wouldn't get to see them anymore. Of course, if we could all go, I'd sign on in a flash. We could search for Luna while we were up there.

Would totally go if given the chance. Just the chance to see new things before anyone else would be a good reason for me.

1. THERE'S A PONY CHAT?! Where?

2. Yes. Yes we could. Don't forget socks. Lots of socks.

3. I'm sure by the time we've invented viable space travel, we will have invented instant quantum-hypercommunication or something like that, so you could keep in contact with the friends you've made :)

Behold friend, The Escapist Brony Headquarters.

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/MLP-Friendship-is-Magic

The most active chat on this sight to my knowledge. 12497 pages of it to be precise.

You'd be member 900. We'd love to have you aboard...

...

Suddenly I realize I'm a recruiting station. I sound like Radoh.

I now love you.

Excellent.

Back on topic, where is this space mission to?

You know what i'm fine, i like it here, it's familiar, and although i don't have many friends i can't see me making anymore in space...
Plus i'm scared of being alone.

What? I was just helping a fellow brony find his way to the group. There's nothing wrong with that.

But what if they can't breath in space? Then they'll die D:

If we can choose where we're going, then I pick the polar opposite side of the galaxy, in the hope of finding a NEGA EARTH, where everything is backwards. And it's a dyson sphere.

Everything is wrong with that...
You must be left to drift apart, so that only the strong will survive.

I'll have to admit to being terribly boring when it comes to space type things.

I'd do space travel after it was fully established (safety, constant communication, speedy travel, etc.) but not colonization and definitely not using modern or even slightly future technology.

Of course (although only in our solar system)! I look forward to be part of another generation of Irish who build monuments for other civilisations.

Assuming we have the technology to make interstellar travel comparable to say crossing the Atlantic (or Pacific) on a freighter...Hell YES!

And we definitely need a few projects to do on the way because between ports travel is really really boring.

oh who am I kidding I'd go anyways!

I don't know. I would probably be a bit tempted at least. I would need the specifics before I can decide. Like; What kind of benefits that would bring? Would someone else I know want to go with me? etc

Yes I would, because I've always dreamed of going to space and my life here is pretty unremarkable, so even if it's hard up there at least it will be far more interesting.
Just this. Anyone who looks up at the stars and doesn't want to see each one up close is a little bit strange in my opinion.
