Poll: Space pirate fantasy

You're on the run from the government fleets searching everywhere for you after a massive heist. Where do you hide until it all blows over?

Also what would be your motivations for being a pirate? A political activist against a corrupt, uncaring government? Someone out looking for number one? Or someone trying to carve their own territory into the galaxy?

If this were me, I'd risk the nebula. No rocks, no other pirates going to try and kill me for the loot. I'd also probably be a pirate for me and me alone, without a cause. Now did that nebula cloud bank look like the one I saw when I first came here...?

Well then, how about your space pirate fantasy?

Spoiler: In case of broken poll, here are the hiding spots.

Nebula. I won't get that lost, right?

Asteroid belt. They'd have to be insane to follow me.

The space equivalent of Tortuga. I'll be safe if nobody sells me out.

And why am I a pirate? Probably because I had a falling out with my superiors in the Fleet.

The space equivalent of Tortuga sounds nice and no one would dare sell me out or they wil have to deal with the wrath of kaptin Scorpianhead (and yes i did spell captain wrong on purpose) this is my plan to shake the fuzz.

And i became a pirate because i want the money and power that comes with being the most feared pirate in teh entire universe.

I would do it to be different, rebelling against a conformist society and attaining wealth and infamy at the same time.

Sounds like a good idea for a novel btw.
