Do you think this game could be good? Or will it suck like Spiderman's other recent outings?

*Personally I didn't think Web of Shadows was all that bad, but then again I'm a pretty tolerant guy when it comes to games*

Ive played the old spiderman games on the n64 and the playstation. The best one was probably spiderman 2 on gamecube. (Swinging was a blast). Ive never heard of shattered dimentions though the title sounds interesting.

I'm hoping it will be a blast. I used to read the Spider-Man 2099 comics and I loved them.

I'm a huge Spidey fan but I'm kind of wary of this game. Dan Slott is writing it (last I heard) and while he's the best of the recent Spidey writers, he's not a pimple on the ass of anyone David Michelinie and prior.

I'm also not very fond of using the different universes of the character in a game. I wouldn't mind a 2099 game or another Ultimate game, but to throw them all together and add the "Noir" version (which I hated with all my power) for what I presume to be stealth gameplay just seems like they couldn't decide what to do so they just made four small games and stuck them together with an overarching story.

I also have a horrible feeling they are going to tie it all together with the "Mystical Tablets" that they used in almost an entire season of the 90's cartoon and the early 70's comics that they now use as their magical Mcguffin anytime they want to do anything like this.

Yeah, Peter David did a great job on the series. That's the way I was hoping the entire 2099 line would be, a new character with the same name, but not the exact character in terms of abilities and attitude. Not to mention it had the coolest version of the Vulture ever, I mean I used to ask why they never made the 616 Vulture into a cannibal before David did it in the 2099 universe.

The only other 2099 book I liked was Doom 2099. Ravage, well that just sucked (sorry Stan, still love you though), Punisher 2099-I really can't even remember it was that average and X-Men 2099, well, all it was was just an even more unlikable version of the normal X-Men who I never cared for anyway.

Sounds interesting, but I'm not certain on how it will play out. I've liked all the Spiderman games I have played (Spider man 2 and Ultimate) with the exception of 3 for the Wii, so I will most likely enjoy this.

That whole series was better than the original Spider-Man in just about every way.

I fucking loved spiderman 2, but after spiderman 3 and web of shadows (one of the worst games i've played on my PS3), I've lost all faith and i need to see a massive improvement before I buy another spiderman game, Shattered Dimensions doesnt look like the game thats gonna change that unfortunately.

This seems like (to me at least) some tiny bit like Spiderman with a bit of Assassin's Creed thrown in.

Except instead of the same constant world, different dimensions.

...I'll probably try it, but I haven't really liked any of the Spiderman games that I've played. (old one on n64/psx/pc, first movie game on xbox, etc)

Hope it's worth the money.
