So I've been cautiously watching Conviction for a while, after 4 years of push-backed dates seemingly turning the game into Vaporware, we're finally coming to the real date. I've been mostly cautious because the games story is continuing on from Double Agent, which was half the game Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory were. Culminating with an annoying "twist" killing off the second coolest character after Sam Fisher(Hopefully considering you can choose to save him, he lives to Conviction)

However, after watching the 09 E3 gameplay demos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujyDo6-BlC4

And reading the reviews about the amazing co-op, I'm getting pretty excited about it. The movement seems so fluid, similar to a more linear version of Assassin's Creed in modern times.

What are other peoples feelings on Conviction?

My feeling is that no matter how fluid they make it, I will stuff up any creeping about the game may have and end up just running around shooting people, until I reach one of those "stealth only" levels, which I won't be able to complete, get bored with being stealthy and go play something else, never to return.

For me, those games are always better in theory than in actual play.

I'm looking forward to it, if only to see where they take it next. The "plan your actions before you enter a room" thing looks cool too. Makes up maybe for the lack of gear.
