Did you happen to catch the Twins series against the Mariners? I was surprised that the Twins played so tough considering their record.
If it's not the Vikings, it's very rare that I catch a game unfortunately. The Twins, The Wild, and The Timberwolves all have a deal with FS North (cable channel for those of you unaware) and I do not have the money for cable. I do play as my home team in my video games...does that count?

Vikings I watch every Sunday (pay attention other sport teams!). I would love to get more into the other sports but providers just don't want to let me :(

Now all I have to do is wait to see if Ziggy (Vikings owner) actually gets us a MLS team...
Go Lions! :p
Good to see the NFC North represented on this board. I played sports my whole life and there isn't one that I won't watch. I've found myself sitting through hours of golf on TV at various times even though I hate playing

Another big part of it is that the college I went to has some pretty good sports teams. There's nothing better than when your school is playing your rival and the campus is just electric.

I notice someone said they think it's funny when people refer to their teams as "we". Well, I went to class with a lot of players, even hung with a few. Plus, my tuition paid for their classes, so I'm entitled :)
I've seen a Packers fan, a Vikings fan, and a Lions fan, so I guess I'll fill the role of the huge Chicago Bears fan to round out the NFC North. My dad's family is from Illinois, so I grew up watching the Bears, which didn't make me popular in high school, where everyone's a Saints fan, and they've started a nice rivalry. I also enjoying auto racing of nearly any kind (NASCAR, F1, Indy, Rally, whatever). And whenever any sport is in its playoffs, I'll pay attention, but that's about it.

Watching sports is pretty boring to me, but there are some sports I enjoy playing. (Baseball, American football, and pretty-much-everywhere-else-on-the-planet football (soccer), to be exact)

I'm really into boxing and snowboarding but that's it. As for mainstream sports, I used to really hate football (soccer) because I was never any good at it and every football fan here in the UK just seemed to be an idiot. Now that I'm older I can see all the good it does for our country - I really don't mind it anymore.

I don't play any sports, but I have no problem with others doing so.
Professional sports however do tend to irk me- so much money is spent on them that could be spent on much more useful things. And professional athletes are paid far more than they should be for say, kicking a ball better than other people. Paid more than doctors, these people are. Oh, and having said ability to kick something, or bounce something, somehow makes certain laws not apply to you. Athletes get away with a disgusting amount of crimes.

Always loved playing certain sports (American Football and Boxing primarily), but not particularly interested in watching (I follow Toon in the news, and if I don't have work the next morning I'll watch the Superbowl, would kill to make one of the London games).

It looks like you'll get quite a few chances over the next few years. The Jacksonville Jaguars just announced or will be announcing later today that they will be playing a number of their home games next season (not this coming season, but next season) through 2016. At least its not the Rams anymore.

Just saw an article on it, that's awesome, always had a soft spot for the Jaguars (got a good few friends around there and Lauderdale, plus it always wound up the rest of my college team (Patriots fans to a man, if only due to them a) being popular and b) having the word England in the name).

I love sports, especially basketball. I play at the local gym every Sunday and watch the NBA fairly often. I actually tore ligaments in my foot playing basketball last week so I've been staying off it (which is really really boring). I used to play a fair amount of Tennis as well. I'll give just about any sport a shot.

Not sure if racing is considered a "sport", but I watch a good amount of racing. Not Nascar that we have here in the states, but the good stuff. Like F1 and the Fia World Championship.

I'll watch rugby union, especially internationals.

Mostly I do like playing though, even though I suck at most of them and have few friends into that stuff, mostly my exercise comes from things like crunches and an inhuman pain tolerance.

I'll put up another point of "Not my thing."

I get the appeal, and all.

Never caught me interest.

If it's not a sport that helps you in an 'apocalypse' sort of way learning how to fight or run it is useless. Also classic 'mariners' logo GrimTuesday. I approve.

I like quite a lot of solo sports. So rock climbing, archery, target or clay pigeon shooting if there was anyplace I could do it regularly and cheaply.

I had quite a fondness for fencing and riding horses when I was younger, but obviously the cost eventually gets badly in the way with those sports.

I hate team sports almost universally, I don't like watching or playing them. Rugby is a kind of weird exception because I did used to play it at high school and wouldn't mind if someone asked me to play a game or two now, but I don't watch it and I wouldn't play it by choice.

Reading back it seems like my favourite sports would all stand me in good stead to be a hero in a 1930s pirate flick. This is actually completely fine by me.

Hate them! I tried my best at them but i had no sporting ability whatsoever and was made to feel bad about it.

So basically take all the sports and shove em up your ass!

I live right on the boarder between Washington and Oregon (I live in Vancouver WA, but I normally say I live in Portland to avoid confusion with Vancouver BC) so we mostly got Ducks games on TV when I was younger. Also, in part (but not the driving factor by any means) because UW sucks at football.
Yeah Vancouver is basically Portland anyway. God, Oregon has been killing Stanford these last few years. So much hate...But good on them for showing ESPN that the PAC-12 actually matters. And SC is looking tougher, Stanford probably won't be #2 in the conference anymore.

I agree they're overpaid, like it's retarded how much they're payed, but doctors make quite a bit of money last time I checked. I'd like to see that money go to teachers, scientists etc who are horribly underpaid.

Since when has ESPN been dumping on the PAC-12? I always thought that with how good the Californian teams have been been in the past it was fairly well regarded.

Also, I curious how you reacted to the news that The Melk man got caught with steroids.
