All I know is, that poll is terrible.I don't think they're original but I don't think they're remaking bastards, and I"m not indifferent.
Well heres my opinion, first they lied 13 time with the whole final! which i wish was true because the franchise needs to die, secondly why do they all have the same look? o wait......thats obivous because [] enix hasnt had a creative thought ever, third, why are all the swords like the size of a fighter planes wing and as light as a feather, 4th WTF IS WITH THE HAIR....(again) i mean did they cut triangles off wigs and just glue them to there hair? 5th...ly..er why are they always named so retarted.....i mean cloud? snow? lightning??? wo the fuck is nameing these kids? lastly.........didnt they make movies out of this "game" franchize, because the this is just the game....with out gameplay which is a step up because the gameplay is horrible.....pfft turn base phoohy! its all poppycock and ribble rabble, but still............please stop making games.....we'd all apreacheate it....ok not all []enix games are horrible just ff.......it can burn
Square Enix was originally Square before the success of the original Final Fantasy at which point they changed their name to Squaresoft and after buying up the company Enix(the creators of the Star Ocean series) they became Square Enix... their the same company you know...rekabdarb said:

They make a talented developer but they just need to move on a bit because all of their games are starting to look exactly the same.
They should try some completly different theme like post-apocalyptic japan or something, and throw in some crazy mechanics

But yeah, this can be said of a lot of major devs. Nintendo, anyone? And besides, I forgive them for their intermittent creativity. I rather enjoy the bastard child that was Kingdom Hearts, and you've got to admit they created their own style (Kingdom Hearts+Soul Eater+FinalFantasy). Not every game they make can be a hit, it just so happens that Final Fantasy is their nice, safe, cash cow. And judging that you've obviously bought and played the last 4 or so installments, I'd say they're right on track.

2)The game is a Grid-based, tactical-RPG. Still pretty happy.
3)The game involves concepts from 'The World Ends With You'. There is only 1 game, and I am NOT happy. In the words of Nathan Copeland, "GIVE ME MOAR!"
Anyways, I don't feel any particular angst about what Square churns out. I monitor what I intake and I feel all the better about it.

i never thought I'd find someone harder on Square than I am, and lo and behold for some odd twist I find myself appalled in their favor. How the hell did this happen?
Oh, and what does CC have to do with 7? Like, at all? The games have no relation aside from their names bearing the FF moniker. Don't judge, even if they do have a very different focus from the core franchise.
FF7 isn't the worst game, but it's not the masterpiece people make it out to be. : | It needs more than a graphical overhaul. The NES FF's were made shinier, but every GBA remake got a better translation, and frankly i think that alone would aid FF7 immensely.

So wait. All Square makes is Final Fantasy? Wow, all this other crap of theirs I have must never have happened. Mana games? What're those? Kingdom Hearts? Who plays that? Star Ocean? Obviously not a real game (though arguably it's not written by real people because come on). Aside from that, X and 12 are by some miracle two of my top three for the franchise.rekabdarb said:

Very much made for the fans, which imo is a mistake in and of itself, but aside from the point. Tactics Advance and A2 are not only pretty damned different from the original Tactics, but from my experience hold a higher pace and generally just remain more engaging. The Judge system wasn't as intrusive as everyone whines about it being, and A2 completely lacked it, though it did bring in Vaan...

Yeah, Square, don't bother updating the translation like you've been doing for every other FF remake. Leave it completely terrible so the people who didn't play the original can be just as disappointed as I've been putting up with piss-poor writing ever since I got the thing over PSN.

I liked X-2. The idea of changing the clothes on rather attractive women to give them different levels of "kick-ass" was fun for me. FFXII was fine for me. I just didn't like a few of the characters. I also like FFXIII.
