Being from Toronto, I was cheering for the Leafs.
Ouch, I'm sorry.

I've been watching hockey for something like 30 years, and that was one of the most painful reversals I've seen. Leafs fans must've been lining up to go off bridges.
Nah. It was nice just to see them in the playoffs at all after soooo long. They did better than they had any right to do against Boston. Boston's dismantling of the Pens underscored that. Much was learned. Much experience was gained. Carlyle brought that group a long way in half a season. There is a lot to look forward to in the coming year even if I harbor no illusions of a significant cup run any time soon. The thrill is the game, not its outcome.

Liverpool FC will win, of course.
Oh wait, extreme curling...

I don't really care too much about it at the moment.
This season was absolute rubbish, one that is complete will suffice next year.
But as for the '12-'13 half-ass fling, I'm going to imagine that Boston will win.
They've just been annihilating thus far with no real signs of stopping. Don't even like them, but they seem to bloody well want the big victory. So we'll see.

So to put it short, I don't care who wins. Would prefer it to be Chicago, but I have some weird feeling that it will be Boston. The real question is, how many games will it take?
It'll take at least 6 games so that the league can get as much money out of the series as possible ... this is Garry "Hockey will work in Phoenix, I swear it!" Bettman we're talking about. But then again, he's just a toadie for the owners chasing after their pie-in-the-sky NFL-sized broadcast deal ...

(totally not bitter, btw)

If game 1 is any indication, this should be a back and forth series for 7 games. I hope they are all not that long, I was struggling to stay awake in the second OT.

There doesn't seem to be many hockey fans on this forum, but thats to be expected I guess :)

I found it weird that many people think you can't be a gamer while keeping good physical fitness, enough to play a sport competitively. At least thats the impression I got.

Woah off topic.

Edit: totally just applied the thing I was talking about to this forum. I feel dumb.
