Wasn't there for Star Trek, but I'm sure I would still love Star Wars as much as I do now. I was like...8 or 9 when Episode I came out and it was amazing. If only I was that old when the original Star Wars cam out... that would be amazing.Cortheya said:

Stargate was just Star Trek with American marines and F-18s. And the original movie was decent, but not that good.
Battlestar Galactica was totally awesome for one season, then kinda shitty for one season, then totally awesome for 5 episodes, and then totally shitty again.
And Star Fox only had 1 and a half good games.
So my answer will be the 2007 movie: STARDUST, starring Claire Danes. A really fucking outstanding and totally underapreciated fantasy film, which features just about everything you could want in a fairy tale. Two big thumbs up for Stardust!

Good poll. While I do enjoy everything here, except Battlestar, I'm going with Stargate. Star Wars came so close but over the past year I've become somewhat addicted to Stargate so I'm going with that. Actually, despite being kinda close, there was no choice for me here.
I'll admit, you have to be a big fan of SG-1 to get into Atlantis at first, but it gets much better. Seasons 4 and 5 are really good.deadman91 said:

Well Star Wars goes on top for sure, it's a truly unique sci-fi universe bordering on fantasy sometimes.
Battlestar and Stargate take a shared second place, I love both equally but for different reasons. Battlestar is an almost (well no, it just is) a mystical storyline embedded in an incredibly awesome setting with fantastic characters and character development. And Stargate, well it's just purely awesome in it's cult-ness. The main characters are awesome, and the universe is suprisingly rich, even though it's plagued by human/human-like species, but at least they have a good excuse for it, unlike Star Trek, wich is why Star Trek has to take a 3th spot sadly. But then again, I still love Star Trek a lot.
All in all, all sci-fi universes rank extremely close to eachother. They all have their good and bad points, and I almost love them equally. Why should you have to pick? Just go for all of them!
Ok given, Star Wars ranks pretty distinctly on top, mostly because it has the good points of all other universes rolled into one, plus it's so extremely rich and detailed, you could get lost for weeks in all the fluff. And I love fluff.
