sorry I think your full of shit, the game doesnt suck. The historical battles are some of the best dogfighting ive seen in a game. As I said its still in Beta so of course its going to be slightly repetitive cause of the maps being the same, not to mention that its free and didnt get funded blindly whatever (half a million) that exorbant sum like so many gamers have done to star citizen. Not only this but the game provides you in the encylopedia ways to do stunts and a plethora of information.Dexter111 said:Except I tried it and the game kind suckskingthrall said:The payment model sucks for star citizen in comparison to this Free to play game, and even though I disagree with some of the marketing methods used by war thunder they have a serious advantage of a whole free game to create a huge fanbase. Also it's not as much an MMO as it is a mission objective based game you are supposed to play over and over against a bunch of other players.
I'm looking forward to these for some space combat fun, preferably with the Oculus Rift:
edit: ill elaborate a little more why it doesnt suck- the planes are meant to be slighly unreliable, sensitive not run under jets with modern types of intertia dampers or science fiction styled smoothness.
If you have not played this game, swooping downwards on sharp angles will crash your plane, you need to really pay attention to the type of plane your using, the altitude, stalling ect just like a real simulator. You get your wings shot, you actually feel the plane lose its balance. I just cant see the same kind of immersion from a game in space where you have flashy lights as warning indicator, a few sparks and pretty a black slate to fly around, no mountains, no fog, snow or dirt that smashes on your windscreen that you see from war thunder (looking at the cockpit view). So yeah I think you are talking out your bum bum sorry mate!
I do agree that it isnt entirely MMO which is actually doing itself a massive favor. Players want multiplayer without the hassle of finding a lobby, ect. It does the job for you in the quick start and although Arcade is favored by most currently it is perhaps due to the casual gamer not used to such torque and dogfighting tactics.
The game has appealed to all audiences providing historical, and realistic flight simulation. MMO is merly a title, nobody cares about it being MMO or not, players just want the damn multiplayer to work with a good chat lobby and friend system which this game has archived well.
