In a hilarious attempt to appeal to western prudes, SE apparently decided to deal with pantyshots of young girls by...making their panties less sexy. Yep, they are letting them in, they just cover more of their rear now.

I find this hilarious as I don't think how sexy the underwear is will affect how people view potential loli pantyahots. At the same time, I will now be in high alert for other more severe changes. In the end imporing is always an options thankfully since ps3/4 are region free.

Well, the char is apparently 18, so there's that. People simply won't bother lookin into it due to her design being as it is.

From the very beginning you've shut down any potential for an intelligent and mature discussion. Is this really a "severe change?" I just can't bring myself to care about the size of a character's panties.

I mean, look at Miki. She's a fully dressed adult and the only times you're going to see her panties is, if my assumptions based on other Star Ocean games and promotional material are correct, is when you make an effort to do so. This change affects nobody aside from the occassional perv that really, really cares about digital underwear.

And uhm. Yeah, changing the underwear doesn't really solve anything, but unless there are upskirt shots in the cutscenes it's not like you can fix this anyway.

If there's manual camera control, there's the possibility of perving on people.
I mean, that's true in real life as well, you can technically go up to a girl and look up her skirt, but the difference is she can probably see you doing that, and won't take kindly to it.

Since the camera in a game is non-corporeal, you can do it without consequence. But I'd like to see you solve this without causing bigger, more important problems...

You could have an NPC rant at the player for being a perv if the player manipulated the camera in certain ways.... In today's environment though, they'd probably tie it to an achievement. Can only imagine what the reaction to that particular decision would be.
