Poll: Star Wars Battlefront 3

I highly enjoyed both and had a great time mastering all the classes. That being said I think that if they actually do release it, that it will be in competition with this game called, "Team Fortress 2" if you herd of it I guess (/sarcasm). I might buy it if they improve the game engine and try to be a little original about the plot and don't let characters play as Jedi, it will be good.

Lucas Arts didn't make the Battlefront games.

OT: I remain sceptical. This was pretty much dead and buried in 2008 or something, and Lucas Arts have a habit of simply ignoring what their fanbase wants. They're good for licensing and support when they do listen, but when they try act as developers on a project (that no one's even asked for), they really seem to struggle.

Oh hell yeah! I used to have a load of fun just playing BF1&2 on my own but I played BF2 online just before they shut off XBL and it was amazing, even after all those years! BF3 is one of the few games I might actually preorder. They'll be missing out on good business if they don't go through with it.

I hope to god this rumour is true. It could make the coming years, for gaming, transcend "brilliant" and become "godlike".

Star Wars Battlefront II was my first real game. It's on the PS2 (my little bros' machine now, when they're not playing Age of Empires all day) so the last time I played it was some years ago. But the game was tremendous fun - despite the deeply retarded AI and somewhat shot-up balance - and gives me lots of nostalgia when I think about it.

Playing an all new Star Wars Battlefront, with friends over XBL... reminds me that BF:BC2 (and the Vietnam expansion) is only a stopgap. A very fun stopgap, but still a stopgap that will hopefully pale in comparison to another Battlefront game. And this time, I won't arrive too late (and at too young an age) to catch the multiplayer aspect.

Bad Company 2 is very fun, especially with friends. But I've not had as much fun with it as I did with Battlefront II.

I liked the first 2 but never owned either. If they made a SW Battlefront 3 they could even give it a perpetual online world like a few other games are doing these days, or play single-player or split-screen on a few of the major battles.

Whether or not they do something like that, as long as they're smart with their choices it would be a great game and I would like to get it.
