They could make a really good version of this if they would take some of the great features from the first, like the npc jedi or ground aircraft. and combined them with the great features from the second like the new maps and gameplay features. Stuck em' together add some detail and sell it.

Anyways, I was reading an Xbox-related magazine and there was a calendar of "Upcoming games" going from 2007-2009. As I was reading, I actually came across the words "Star Wars: Battlefront 3-2009". I haven't heard anything else since, but here's hoping that "Calendar" isn't lying.
Well it's hasn't been official been said but the people who made "Timesplitters" Free Radical are going to make the third one. I love the BF series, and i think FR are going to do good with it since Timersplitters are a really good game!
The only game I'm willing to buy at this point from Pandemic is Lord of the Rings: Conquest. And that hasn't been released yet.
It would be AWESOME, more AWESOME if it adds Mandalorian Wars or Jedi Civil War.
And a Republic Commando 2 would be nice.

Id like a new battle front but to change things up a little like putting ships back into ground fights (they'd be using the 360 so they would bbe able to pull it off right?) and of course new levels more customization you know the general stuff people usually want from another sequel
why not, I think Lucasfilm is way past due on another sequel to "The bestselling starwars game ever". One thing they could do to a new one is add a story mode where you create a player, decide what team or side he or she will be on, then go on missions for them and stuff like that. And if they do do that, I FREAKIN CALLED IT!!!
Im Suprised that somepeople actually dont knwo what StarWars is... seriously how can't you know what starwars is. If they do produce a new one, something they need to really include is the ability to have npc jedi. seriously, the 2nd didn't have them and all battles against npcs' would immedeatley become one sided the instant you got a hero

I suppose you could also take it as far as games like Fracture and Red Faction did, but if you took it too far, it wouldn't fit into the Star Wars universe too much. With the exception of the Death Star which blew up whole planets and battleships, there wasn't very much wholesale destruction in the Star Wars movies.
How about putting BF1, BF2, Starwars EAW forces of corruption, and TFU together and see what we get.
