The Gamecube controller was, for my money, the best designed controller of that generation. I loved it to pieces. It also worked out that all cross-platform titles released on the gamecube always turned out to be a bit cheaper then their PS2/XBox alternatives, so i always wound up going with the gamecube on those.
I think "Clone Wars" suffered from being the Star Wars title released RIGHT after the most craptacular Star Wars movie of all-time, "Attack of the Clones". (I do find it odd that AOTC was the only prequel film that didn't receive a major console movie-related game release. I did play the GBA game, though. That was terrible!)
Anyways, i actually find "Clone Wars" to be one of the more underrated, underappreciated Star Wars titles. I had alot of fun with it, but have rarely met anyone that even knows it exists. The missions when you were a jedi on foot had pretty terrible controls (though still better then Rogue Squadron III), but the tanks were fun, and flying the Republic Gunships was an absolute gas. I LOVED the gunship levels.
I also felt the writing of Obi-Wan and Anakin was alot better here then it was in AOTC. And i liked how they tied in some Expanded Universe "Tales of the Jedi" stuff.
An above average Star Wars title that deserves more credit.
