Maybe I will, maybe I won't.

I'll be asking some people I know if I can get one though, might get lucky.

No, because StarCraft was a bad RTS that was neither fun nor innovative, and SC2 is probably going to be more of the same.

I keep getting an error as soon I try to opt-in which is saying that I cannot send in my system information... Odd because I have a beast of a gaming rig.

Why do you think this?

I just don't want to have it ruined for me before it's even released. And DoW2 taught me to never trust multiplayer betas again.

I'll do it. I'm a Blizzard fanboy :)
But really now, is there any reason for which I shouldn't be? All games I've played from Blizzard have been great, even though I don't actively play WoW.

Next you will say Fallout was unoriginal and not fun.

BLAPHEMY, in other words.

Fallout 1 and 2 were wonderful games, though Fallout 3 felt like little more than Oblivion with firearms.

Don't compare starcraft to the likes of Fallout.

I've been in several Blizzard closed BETAs, yet I doubt I'll get asked into this one. Definitely not planning on signing up for anything.

Do have my fingers crossed for the Diablo 3 closed BETA though! I had a complete blast with Diablo 2's and LoD's and since I did distribute my fanboyism for the game to several different sources across the net, maybe I'll get that call once again. Would love to be able to write up updates and reviews for my fellow escapees.

Yeah, StarCraft had longevity ;)

Edit: I opted in, hopefully I can grab some beta keys the old-fashioned way, but there's this if nothing else!

Already signed in and everything. Got my Windows vista Ultimate 64-bit SP1, Intel core i7 processor, 12 gigs of ram, GTX 285 GPU and my...150gig hard drive :p.

I'm hoping I get in seeing as I can't think how much further a consumer PC can go.

Um, it was released in like 1998. You don't know what "innovative" means.

1. ahead of the times; "the advanced teaching methods"; "had advanced views on the subject"; "a forward-looking corporation"; "is British industry innovative enough?" [syn: advanced]
2. being or producing something like nothing done or experienced or created before; "stylistically innovative works"; "innovative members of the artistic community"; "a mind so innovational, so original"

Considering it was the first competitive RTS ever made, i'd say it is pretty damned innovative.
